NEW Titan Pascal (full 3840 shaders) just announced!

who else has had enough? like I seriously contemplated selling both my titan xp and 1080 and just using my gtx 950 until I need a card to actually game

Something new always comes along. Was to be somewhat expected IMO when the 1080Ti landed with a new memory controller and faster RAM out the box. Was precedence with first Titan. Then in a bit Volta will be out and around we go :D

Good on those who will be picking 1 (or 2+) I say.

Imo moving from Ti-to-Ti is probably the smartest move for a higher-end gamer. Seems to offer enough performance for a couple of years and the next iteration is always nigh-on twice as powerful

I'm actually moving over to the top end Vega when that comes out so it will go nicely with my Ryzen build, Had enough of Intel and Nvidia's business practices, No respect for their customers.

You actually think AMD is any different, wow. Don't mistake inability to produce competitive cards as somehow being respect for customers, it is quite the opposite.

That's not quit true with Ryzen. Sure as a gaming cpu it's not the fastest but for business and the like it's better than anything Intel have on the market at the price point. Intels competitor is around twice as much. Amd gave the 8core cpu's a pretty respectable price imo.

Not good news for Vega is it.

If NVidia are releasing this card now it means they are under no pressure to rush Volta out as they don't see Vega as much of a threat to their high end GP102 cards.

NVidia with the launch of the 1080 Ti and the Titan XP are saying that Volta won't be along for the best part of a year,

Or vega is that fast it competes and beats 1080ti so they need to replace thier fastest card?

Well this is dumb. From a variety of standpoints. It's another overpriced GPU, I think at this point now that even people who would buy these sorts of GPUs are out of money. 'Upgrading' to this would be a terrible decision in terms of what you gain over what's already there. They can only buy 'Titan' brand GPUs every once in a while. The impatient folks who always have the best GPUs will have just gotten their 1080tis and they too would be sick of it. And perhaps worst thing of all... the goddamn terrible name. What is Nvidia's obsession with the letter X? Is the Volta Titan going to be called Titan XXX?

I'm glad I decided to not bother with a new GPU this year after the £800 1080tis. Now all this means to me is that Nvidia have made their job harder for the 1100 series. Past 2 series, the x70 has been on par with the Titan of the previous gen. So now if they don't make the 1170 trade blows with the new^2 Titan Xp, it'll look like a disappointing card by comparison to previous x70s.

Also get's me wondering about Vega, Nvidia are pulling away from AMD more and more. Is it because they're scared of Vega? Regardless AMD has a lot of catching up to do. At this point, I'd even buy a 1080 level Vega, as disappointing as that might be (considering the 1080ti exists), just to give Nvidia some competition.

Intel and Nvidia have zero respect for their customer base, Having been on Intel and Nvidia for the last 6 years I've seen this all too much.

This is typical tactical marketing to bleed as much money as possible out of customers who always want the best. Its a bit shocking and so blatent that it makes me worry for the next few generations of GPUs. What ever happened to the 60, 70, 80 logic. Low, Mid and high range, all these other iterations that are very slightly more powerful than the last stinks of Nvidia holding back power to milk customers all they can, it's a joke in my eyes

Lol, spend some time on the red side and see how that works out. Every time I've tried that its pushed me back to green and blue.

I have done just that and it has been just fine outside of a few freesync bugs. Do i miss the 1070's performance i had before, yes, do i miss nvidia and the **** they kept pulling, no not really. The only thing AMD has been guilty of is being slow and while that by itself can get very annoying and outright anger inducing at times its nothing compared to the shady business practices and anti consumer behavior of nVidia and Intel. Its like some people in here have stockholm syndrome.
