New Top Gear (2011) BBC 2 8PM!

It does seem like a much smaller person and could easily be a woman in that case but surely they realised that if they used a woman it would take all of 2 seconds for everyone who has watched the show before to guess Sabine. It hasn't been that obvious before and I don't see why they would start now. One thing for sure, they can drive damn well.

Do the celebs have to sign some sort of confidentiality aggreement? Surely when they are being instructed by the Stig it will be pretty clear of the person is speaking to them in a female german voice or not?

Didn't he appear for all of 2 minutes in the last series to roll the reliant robin on the track? Properly did it for fun/a favour/the shear hell of it if he was rally stig!

Wasn't he the guy that took James May around the airfield rally track in the last series (or last-but-one, I can't remember)?

Not all celebs go on Top Gear because they 'needed the work'.

I'm not saying he wouldn't do the odd piece as a one off, but to be the Stig on a longer term basis, doing all the hot laps and whatnot would be more of an undertaking.

Why was the lap of the 599GTO so slow
Stig has no confidence in the car so wasn't able to push hard?

How heavy is it compared to the 458? Didn't it come just under the 458 on the chart?

EDIT: From wikipedia...

458: 560BHP, weight 1,380Kg, BHP/tonne 406
599 GTO: 661BHP, weight 1,590Kg, BHP/tonne 416

Doesn't the 458 have the fancy double clutch from the California? Does the 599 GTO have that? Maybe the gear changes make the difference?

I also read that the 599 GTO was apparently faster than the Enzo round the Ferrari test track (due to the computer systems used, new diffuser etc), so it seems odd that it was so slow round the Top Gear track.

"while lapping the Fiorano test track from which its donor's name is derived in a blitzing 1 minute, 24 seconds. That's faster than the Enzo, people."

Jason Plato also said this when he tested the 599GTO on Fifth Gear so I was very surprised to see the 458 being faster around the TG track.

It came below the 430 Scud too which I was surprised about. I can forgive the slight "slowness" for the stuperb noise it makes :D

Massive dose of deja-vu there when the ashes bit came on - exactly the same content as before shown on TG Aus as MrLOL has mentioned.

That was a fair bit of the show, so overall a bit of a dissapointing one :(

I could do with less of the casual slander and attempted non-PC'ness - seems like they're deliberately attempting to kick up a bit of a fuss and it actually leaves a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth sometimes.

I'd hardly say it was "so slow" and Fiorano is a very different circuit to the TG test track.
