I found it quite uncomfortable watching that part of the programme, it wasn't good natured "banter" at all, just plain offensive. I have Mexican friends and relatives and it was quite frankly embarassing.

I totally agree.The Mexican thing did seem a bit forced to be honest... There wasn't really a lot to go on, and they come out with all that? It felt out of place.
I thought the initial joke was humerous, but they went a bit too far and it was slightly uncomfortable. I wasn't offended as such but it was a bit...excessive.
Notice no Aussies have complained about the top gear crew insulting them? and no British people have complained about the insults the Aussies used about British people?
