So, it appears Phillip genister, Jodie Kidd and Guy Martin are likely to be the new hosts.

Personally, Im not a fan of Jodie Kidd after watching the dismal classic car show. Guy Martin I think was ace in his speed series, but I'm unsure if he will make a good presenter!

Thoughts?
 
This thread needs replacing with the new top gear name.

That's what most people are interested to, where are the 4 of them going.
 
I quite like Philip G so I will be interested to see where they take the show. I can't see those three mucking about somehow but it might be quite good if it is a bit more serious now. I can get my car fix from New New Top Gear and my mucking about fix from whatever J, J and R's new show is.
 
Its not about the inviduals, but about how they gel as a team. Clarkson, Hammond & May worked well together.
 
Can't quite see the dynamic with that lot, definitely can't see it being like top gear was, but they are probably as good a choice as any if your going to refresh top gear and better than many other possibilities.

I don't think that's the case at all. The 'motoring' content of the show has been diminishing season by season and has been replaced to a large degree with the 'road-trips' and school-boy esc, adventures. It's shifted from being about motoring/petrol-heads to an entertainment show. Yeah the great cars are still there and "The Stig" in his/her (some say he's a Ladyboy) many guises still adds to that. But it's the banter between the three of them that makes the show what it is. was, that kept people watching.
