Well that was it then, the last show. Definitely the end of an era, yes you can argue that the formula was getting tired the subject matter repetitive but I don't think the chemistry that the presenters have will be replaced. Can't say I'm a Clarkson fanboy, I think he comes across as a middle class oaf and a bit of a **** at times. That said he is hugely entertaining and the world needs people who speak their minds and don't pander to the ever more PC world we have created. Chris Evans...ffs...

Fully star your swearing

Read an article today that said one of the reasons ITV are so interested in the boys (the rumoured deal with Netflix isn't done yet) is because they know not only can they scoop a mega hit show but they know if they run it against Chris Evans Top Gear then they can have a mega hit show and assassinate the BBC's highest rated show in one swift blow.

Really enjoyed the SUV challenge, it just reminded me of what I love Top Gear for, 3 mates having fun on some ridiculous challenge.

I can't see how the BBC expect it to work without them.

Apparently its also because ITV has about 0% of its programming directed at "men" and they see TG as a way to target that market

who would have thought "Peter Andre Ice skating" or "Peter Andre visits a car boot sale" or "Celebrity Gossip Island with Peter Andre" would not appeal to us :p

People don't want to adverts of ITV yet the star in a car is generally a massive advert of the stars peddling of a book/movie whatever they're involved in.

Ohh great so now its going to be adverts on top on the star in a car so 30-40mins of an show is going to be ads and the rest topgear. :p

Very happy to see no star in a car yesterday. :)

Not sure if it's been said, but reports are saying Clarkson and Co and closing in on a deal with either Netflix or ITV with the new show airing prime time along side new Top Gear.

Neither of these options sound ideal.

If it must be ITV, I would like to see them extend the show to allow time for the ads and a full 1 hour show.

As for netflix, I don't have a subscription, as there's nothing on it I want to watch. £5.99 a month to watch top gear seems a bit rich, on top of the already expensive cable package.
