New Total recall trailer.

The way Arnie takes out the guys looks better(Arnie was quite a good actor). No one would believe Farrel could do that. It does look like its copying the original in certain ways.

Seeing as Ridley Scott is behind this, I am happy to give it a chance. We'll see how Prometheus turns out of course, but I would trust him not to mess it up. Unlike every other film maker, he doesn't just go to CGI for everything. I read that in Prometheus they're only using CGI for space scenes - everything else will be "live"

Jessica Biel?

I'm in.

Although it does look a bit naff. The scene where Colin takes out the officers looked terrible.

why dont they reboot the running man!

What an awesome film, I hope they never ruin it by doing a re-make.

Whenever I watch Total Recall I always wish I was watching Running Man.

Why are they bothering to make a remake? What's the point?

We already have a great movie. There is no need for this at all. What's next? A remake of star wars or Indiana Jones? Or die Hard?

This is silly.

Arnie is/was not a good actor. He did improve somewhat early 90's onwards, but he still can't be classed as a good actor. However, he was a fantastic movie star.

For a lot of big blockbuster films, being able to act is not really a requirement. Look at Keanu Reeves. Can't act for toffee, but he was awesomely good in The Matrix.

The only way this remake is justified, is if the film more faithful to the original story. We shall see.

It is silly though. Prequel to this, sequel to that. Remakes here there and everywhere.

Hollywood should grow some cahunas, and make more films with original ideas.

Looks like The Mummy is up for the reboot treatment. The first film was good, but it went downhill pretty fast after that.

I wonder if bookies take bets on the next franchise Hollywood reboots.

I'm hoping this is going to be rebooted in a Batman Begins vs Batman & Robin (or a Daniel Craig Bond vs Brosnan Bond) type way.

What I mean is where the original, while awesome, is a seriously cheesy film I hope the reboot will be a gritty "real" film and so far the trailer looks to be that way (scene where Farrell is on the balcony looking at the city for example).

To me it looks like it is going to be an identical film pretty much, how anyone can think it is going to be different to the original is beyond me :p The only thing that seems lacking at the minute is that there is no mutants.

I am a massive fan of the original and Arnie :D but I am really looking forward to this and I actually think Farrel will be pretty good, however, I am not going to compare it to the original, just going to think of it as a different film just with similarities to the original :p

It's set on Earth, so no mutants. The original story is set on Earth,so this is more faithful in one way. Doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be any good though. :p

Oh! I didn't know that, have only seen the trailer, not read anything about this one! :p

Hollywood can absolutely GTFO with this ....

Honestly just think of your own god damned ideas... this is completely pointless and from the trailer it's already obvious it's going to be ****.

Idiots

It's not even set on Mars?

This is just horrific. I would rather they just show the original in the cinemas, I'd definitely go and see that instead! They should show both at the same time and see which one wins, I can't believe a generation will probably now grow up watching this **** instead of the original.
