had a stag do over the weekend and driving back was nice and comfy, about 1.5 hr drive from oxford through london. in the CSL i would have been ready to kill someone after that!
engine nice and flexible, both units good at high revs, new engine feels much smoother and a bit more torquey down low, so you dont feel the need to keep revs up quite so much in any given situation.
not really pushed it yet, but grip levels seem good and turn in nice with little understeer.
Cool ! mind if i ask a few questions ? seriously considering an M3 saloon as a future upgrade in a few years.
Can the USB port used for plugging your ipod in ?
and is the extended courtesy lighting (the little led puddle lights in the door handles ) standard on the new m3 ?
really interested if the idrive has proper ipod integration. I know you can plug the 3.5mm audio jack in, but then you still have to change tracks etc.. on your ipod
Much better to be able to leave it in the glovebox and change tracks from the headunit etc..
I know previous versions of idrive needed an aftermarket ipod adaptor, so im curious if the usb port on the new version enables it to work without aftermarket kit !
It does have proper iPod integration, you should get a cable with the car (if not you can buy it from BMW, it's not very expensive) and it plugs in to the USB port and the 3.5mm jack and gives you full control over it from the idrive.
