I would just wait till one of the spring breaks and fires you through the air uncontrollably. The guy in the youtube video looks like he could probably do somersaults without the springs.

Just waiting for all the youtube videos of people springing 6ft in the air and landing nuts first on a pole. Doing somersaults and snapping their back in half and stuff like that.

I'll watch but I won't buy them ;).

Yeah me too can't wait for the youtube vids to appear.

The look like good fun though. very very dangerous good fun.

I have a very bizarre image of some suit commuting to work with one of these, bounding along the millenium bridge, only to be swept of the bridge by a gust of wind into the Thames in mid hop!

Over-active imagination maybe...think I'll go get my lunch.

It was on the Jonathan Ross show over Christmas and on an ad for Zurich I think. Apparently you can run 20mph and effortlessly jump 6ft in the air.

lol they look great but i would break my legs with them
but look cool i did watch the video clip of the guy using them
but think it would be more of a Summer fad
if they take off

Definitely broken wrist and or ankle territory :)

I so want some

Wrist protectors and your ankles are strapped into the Powerizers, so I'm more expecting possible dislocated sholders/knees.

Bought the Pads and Helmet today, they PoweriZers have been shipped and should be here tomorrow \o/

Damn I want some of these, however the ones for my weight are sold out. I wouldn't want to take the risk of getting ones which were rated too light! I'd get some funny looks running from Putney to Hammersmith on these!

Get some rated too heavy then you can give me a lift as well!

Well, that was good fun. Unfortunetly, it's not half as easy as it look on the promo videos. The first three steps were followed by me falling flat on my face, although with the pads I have no injuries so far.

I have a vid, but it's being a pain so here's some photos:

First few steps:

A very quick jog:

A few too many steps:

It's very difficult to get up once you've gone over without help.

More pics tomorrow.
