Are you set on highs or would mids be ok too? If so they tend to be a lot easier to obtain for retail and cheaper.

Reddit.com/r/sneakers usually has good info and discussion on whats coming up, or you can try niketalk forums.

StockX and eBay tend to be the best two places in the UK to buy them for resale if you did want to go that route. Both will authenticate the shoe first to make sure its genuine.

Could check out the marina blue, fusion reds, pollens for some recent releases that arent selling for much more over retail.

Or failing that just choose the colour you like most and just buy replicas if resale price is insane. They really are pretty much indistinguishable from the genuine article even with both in front of you.

Thanks both. I actually have a preference for mids not highs, so hopefully that's helpful! I am UK 12, which from the reseller sites appears to be an expensive size :(

I do only want genuine ones, and not really interested in resellers. Ironically I've been buying and wearing Nike / Jordan shoes since I was about 10 as I actually play basketball, but only ever "practical" ones ie have a few pairs of LeBrons on rotation ATM, so it's just mad to me that basketball shoes are now cool enough in the UK to be unobtainable.

I have downloaded the SNKRs app. I can only see 3 launches coming up, and none of them are Jordan 1s, where are you seeing these?

They probably won't show up in the app until a week or 2 before release so end up having to research other news sites.

You should be able to find some mids sat on shelves for sure though if you're not too picky on colourway
 
If you want Jordan 1s you've got basically 2 options, luck or resale.

That said, stockx and eBay are not dodgy. Both have very stringent authentication services and many Jordan 1s especially on stockx are at basically retail with a small premium.

It's only the really popular colourways that climb dramatically.
 
If it was to buy the monarchs then that's fair enough ha.

Hmm actually just had email to say the second pair of blacks failed authentication at stockx. Probably a good thing, I had bids on both listings with and without bracelet and they both triggered within minutes.

Not having much luck with them lately. Looks like they received them on the 8th so dunno what they did for a week.

Also had a pair of atmos 3.0 giraffes fail authentication this week for showing signs of wear.

Just been reminded you might want to download apps like grailify and heat mvmnt, they give you notifications on drops/restocks.

Eg I just got an alert about some new Jordan 1 mids... restocks can be a great way too, for example I picked up my Air Max 90 Glasgow BSMNT a while back, totally out of the blue and they were back and gone in minutes. Similarly I hit on the Jordan 1 Pollens via grailify on a restock. There are several Jordan 1s that have had a few restocks at launch which would suggest they weren't THAT hot.

Latest I was getting quite a lot of alerts on were the jordan 1 hand crafted, they would have been a doddle to get at retail if you were into them with those apps.

Heat mvmnt is a great app, got my Jordan 5's off there from a restock at BTSN.

I noticed some new SB Dunk high's dropping tmrw on SNKRS, they look fire. ;)
