Pretty sure reformatting happens in the movie, although without teletraan 1.
But before they crash and they are still on Cybertron their robot forms still echo the "modern alt" that the Teletran 1 think finds after they crash.

There was a comp for people to go and watch this last week in London along with the press n stars etc. (I wont link as it is a big spoiler)
From all accounts it seems to be a decent film. Out in the USA and most of the world next week then out here at the end of July now
