Even going directly to HTC they're out of stock.
Not massively fussed about getting this on day one but any word on OCUK getting some Vive accessories?
Looking to get the newer 3in1 cable as well...
I'm holding off from getting one of these until I see the outcome of HTC's investigation into the foam padding deteriorating. It's already £100, so for it to be faulty right off the bat is a big no no. Luckily the foam padding is attached by velcro, so they could make a better padding and ship them out to everyone that's already bought one, but still...

Waiting to see the outcome of the foam investigation on the headstrap before stocking. Will look for the cables.
Hey, I've just heard that HTC is starting to send out the replacement foams for everyone who has a DAS. Those who bought it directly from HTC should hear from them soon, if you bought it at a different retail store, contact HTC.
I contacted them via live chat and they are sending a replacement foam next week.
I chatted with vive pr. Yes they are sending out free replacements if you call them and they are rolling out the new foam into their production line for the DAS.

Is the newer cable worth looking into to get?
mine came today! only ordered it a couple of days ago. Must say as someone who hated the strap this has made it miles better. I never bothered with headphone sin the end as it was too much faf, now the built in ones are so convenient. Really glad I bought it, also the foam insert doesnt bother me as its removable and if it does fall to bits im sure HTC will send a a new improved one free of charge.

is it a lot easier to adjust and put on vs the older one?
The microphone is built into the HMD itself, not the headstrap. What's it like using the built-in microphone?

Yes, yes it is. No fiddling with ear/headphones either.
