Afternoon
Started a new WC loop, well, got the rad so far:
EK CoolStream 240 PE
For the cpu block was thinking of a XSPC raystorm
Not really sure about Res and a pump
Coolant is simple
Another thing is fittings which I have 0 clue about
Can someone help me out
Will this tubing be alright with the rad above?
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/primochill-primoflex-advanced-tubing-16-11-clear-wc-107-pm.html

Also which fittings would I need to use.
As of now loop will be for cpu only, as I need to get used to the idea first. Dropping gpu into it would be easy, once I have a general idea

Help :)

From what I understand draining the loop is a b1tch :)
Will see which gpu rocks my boat and add it from the get go
Bought Phobya uc-2 cpu block
Only Res/Pump left.
Then the fittings which is the bit I dread the most :/

Guys not too much info, as I've mentioned, clueless about this whole process :D
So far what I've got is this:

Pump: 18W DDC-Pump 12V DDC-1T Plus
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/laing-18w-ddc-pump-12v-ddc-1t-plus-wc-047-ac.html

EK-DDC Heatsink Housing - Black
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-ddc-heatsink-housing-black-wc-484-ek.html

Res: DDC Mini Water Tank
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/bitspower-ddc-mini-water-tank-wc-306-bp.html

Rad: EK-CoolStream PE 240 Dual

As per tubing, should I go with 16/10?

And as per coolant, is this gonna do the job?
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/mayhems-x1-uv-purple-premixed-watercooling-fluid-1l-wc-033-mh.html

In regards to fittings, from what I understand they all fit into the pump, res the same, just the other side, the tubing side is different?
Id need to get around 10 centre fittings?

Guys another question for the drain, how and with what do i make this happened? :D

Thanks for a thorough explanation. Coolant-wise would that EK option be more suitable?
Ive decided to exclude gpu for now and add tge drain option. Will try to decide on tubing size today.
After which id need a y fitting, tap fitting and 6 central fittings
Could you explain the stop further?
So far:
2 central fittings info cpu block, 2 central fittings into pump/res, 2 central fittings into rad, folliwed by y splitter into tap?

Thank you very much for all the input. T or Y splitter make sense now along with the stop
Will read on the coolant
Seems like i need to learn acrylic bending now :)

Right. Ive decided what to do and went for the following:
1/4" Thread High Profile Blanking Plug with Knurling : Black Nickel
Primochill G1/4" Thread Ghost Compr. Fitting 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD (10-13mm) Blue X 8
Phobya UC-2 LT Replacement Cover : Nylon (want to have clear and black option)
1/4" Thread Rotary T Piece for 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD (10-13mm) Tubing : Black Nickel
Mayhems Ultra Clear Water Cooling Tubing 3/8" 10mm ID 1/2" 13mm OD 3m

All of which cost me 26.65 on some mental discounts :D
Hopefully ive done everything right for 10/13mm tubing setup
Will order tap and coolant soon
In regards to coolant, is H2O distilled any good?

Wanted to order phobya tap but seller back after 4th april. In the meantime will do just that, remove plug off t and off it goes.

So mayhems is fine to use? Hassle free compared to water with adittives and stuff?

My sole aim is to do a desent loop for 200 or under. So far so good :)
So far spent 115-120 and only gpu block left

Forgot to ask in regards to how much coolant i need for the above parts? Is 1L enough to test?
Also to drain, read that vinegar is used?
When filling, need a pin for psu in order to on/off it for a while

Getting rid of temp gpu and will only run cpu loop.
Ideally would want to leak-proof and then drain/rinse the loop. Ive seen those psu adaptors as i think its better than playin with paper clips :)
Will try and find DI water and order that mayhems bottle on sale, as i dont really care what its gonna be for test purpose
Want to try this in evga hadron, but youve mentioned 240 isnt gonna cut it
Stock 4570+970 on push pull fans perhaps? Or still not enough?

Trying to comeup with something to stay within itx limits. Might try 2x 240 slim rads in cougar qbx. Might be possible with case on the side with fans outside the case. Would look mental but thats a start
Thank you for all the input guys

Most of the parts have now arrived
Rad, CPU block, pipes, coolant, Pump & Res
Just waiting for fittings which should come today
Wanted to ask if there is a particular way/order to lay it out?
Something to go higher or lower if possible?
Also how the hell do you attach a pump/res to the case, should it be free stranding?
Or take a drill out and be creative?

Don't really have the tap itself but will have the T with a plug which will be something similar until I add the gpu into the cycle. Would like to try and drain before I move on :)
From what I understand its ideal for pump/res to be upright?
Have couple of holes in front from where I removed the front shield, might zip tie for now until I come up with a real solution :D
Cougar QBX
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cougar-qbx-mini-itx-cube-chassis-black-ca-013-cu.html
Can actually fit 2 240mm thin rad with either push or pull. On the bottom and the side shielding
Might stick to the NZXT Kraken G10 for now to go on the side and get the feel as I think gpu vs bottom rad/fans might be a problem
Cant wait to give this a go. Acrylic tubing will soon to follow if I find the way to make it work
Would have to change the case as ive switched a few ITX's before settling on this one :D
This build will look dirty as most things are different colour but not really after the looks, just to make sure I can make it function :D

Guys Ive got a dilemma.
Apparently Pascal is around the corner with the presentation takin place today
Is it worth buying Maxwell now? I can wait, that's not really a problem
Id say prices might drop in a month or 2

Not going after pascal thats for sure. Only thing i play now and again is wot and that runs on cpu
Prices will drop on mm as 980 went for 230 few days back
Personally for me i just want wc loop but that can be without gpu for now
Think thats the route am takin unless there is something tempting
Fittings should arrive today and am ready to flood the case :)

Was laying out components and trying fittings on. I am unable to screw in a second fitting into cpu block as the ring around the fitting is too big.
Wow didnt expect to run into this
Need to order 2 fittings for cpu block which will fit, xspc perhaps
Another problem, T fitting is 1/4 bottom and fitting for tubing both sides. How do i use that if my screw cap is 1/4 as well, both male basically
Grrrrr

Just ran into another problem
Rad i have is thicker than expected.
Therefore no fans can be mounted and gpu is a big cuestion mark. Unless its bare or with a thin wc block
Its either time to look for a thinner rad or get a case that will accommodate all of the above
Psu prevents pump mount and takes loads of room
Hadron might still be a possibility
