New xbox one s controller

I know there's a few of us having issues with connecting it through Bluetooth altogether, nevermind more than 1.

Agreed - and the more frustrating point is no official word from Microsoft - unless any one has found a support article/forum post anywhere?

I've had response in OcUK technical support which says to call Microsoft support up and they'll send out the right dongle free of charge. Supposedly the dongle that was included in the deal isn't supported by the controller.

you could try and get the bluetooth dongle closer to the controller, with a usb extension lead for example
That's not the point, we want wireless. apparently you have to use version 4 bluetooth, overclockers sent version 2.

I phoned Microsoft today and just got fobbed off, not our problem i got told(idiots) wtf is that about, anyhow i have ordered a version 4 see if this works.

I bought one and the bluetooth is terrible, so my flat must have really bad 2.4 ghz saturation. I don't have issues with my ps4 dual shock controllers on the console though, but I do have audio stutter through the 3.5mm, so i guess bluetooth just sucks in general in my location.

The analogue sticks are all leggy even when I'm 5cm from the bluetooth dongle.

I bought the wireless xbox adapter on offer from Amazon the other day (doesn't use bluetooth) and it works flawlessly, even through walls.

I know people keep moaning to have bluetooth as the standard, but bluetooth really sucks in a world saturated with 2.4ghz signals. If you don't live in densely packed cities, then fair enough, but I can honestly get behind Microsofts desire to have its xbox wireless tech in all desktops and laptops etc. It's much better.

I have the version 4 Asus bt400 and the analogue sticks lag every 10 seconds even 5cm from the dongle.

I ended up having to just order the same dongle as above, should arrive today so I'll let you know what's up.

I have the Bt400 also - issues with it even connecting - I am sure it is an issue with the aborted firmware they released for the controller...

Yeah I'm still kinda having issues. It just tries to pair for ages then the controller eventually just turns off.

I have the XBOne controller + PC Dongle ( Was like £20 for damaged box off Ebay ). When comparing it to my PS4 controller which is bluetooth, bluetooth always gives me terrible range compared to using the dongle which I can walk to the other rooms in my apartment and it is still perfect.

With this in mind I am not sure how good the bluetooth would be on the new XBOne Slim controller with my PC.

Does anybody know what the Bluetooth class is for the new pad? I'm looking for a class 1 based pad preferably, unless someone can confirm the distance the dongle version can pass through (including the type of walls etc.)

Still no sign of an update for the issues over bluetooth - biggest issue I have is the PC seems to keep forgetting it is a pair device - which is deeply frustrating!

I had a few issues early on with same thing and also buttons syncing incorrectly.

I'd press left once and it would move 2 or 3 steps etc
But last few weeks it's been working well and I've not done anything different.

Might have just got lucky tbh

It is, it's disappointing. they should have given the steam controller two sticks and proper shoulder triggers than actually have some decent travel on them.

I use a usb bluetooth adapter with a plugable label on it that uses the Broadcom BCM20702 chipset and I've got it working fine now with this new controller.

The first day I had problems and it would keep losing sync but once I figured out how to upgrade the firmware its been fine ever since. I'm really happy with it now.

I had previously owned a normal xbone controller with the official wireless adapter, it gave me nothing but problems. In fact I tried two of them and both were constantly dropping connection.

Mine is perfect, very happy with it. Just update the firmware via the app first. I use a pluggable Bluetooth USB dongle and it's flawless. No lag, no missed presses etc. Great :)
