News on the new Lian Li's

Good to see that there is indeed front USB and mic ports etc.

Just I question them on the top with dust, but does make the case look very clean indeed.

I would bet money on it ;)

V600b? - I think so :D

I have always wanted to do that ;)

£90 is far too expensive for a case of those proportions. You can get a fully featured Sonata 2 with a PSU for that money, and despite the plasticy front that's what I'd rather have.

Seriously needs to drop to PC7 prices if they want to sell these.

Its built to the standard of the V series, so is perfectly fine for that price.

Its a specialised case aimed at hitting the mainstream a little bit more, the V series cases will never be cheap; there the highest quality range of cases you can buy sub £500.

id probably go for one depending on how well they cope with the temps from a high end GFX card and an overclocked Opty/X2... with the side 120mm fan its masically got the same amount of fans pushing air out as the V1000 so i guess it would still have pretty damn good thermal properties... ??

actually looking at it more closely i think that the PSU placement would restrict the use of a decent size CPU cooler so wont be any good for me.
what a shame.

It is intended to be a entry level case remember, there is always the PC7+ although I fear that the PC7+ will be replaced by the G50 slowly.

i doubt the PC7+ will replace the G50.... the G50 looks a fair bit more compact and where the PC7+ should be able to use a good size cpu cooler, again like the V600 the psu placement will cause problems in the G50.

mmm yeah the PC101 does look very good indeed, depending on proce might be a good medium for me between getting a PC7+ and a V1000+, hopefully cheaper than the 1000 but bigger than the PC7+ with more room for expansion.

oh but think id probably reverse the fans in the main compartment. Have the side sucking and the back blowing, along with the CPU fan blowing towards the back. Would create a very cool case i think, unless with something like the Scythe Ninja i could forget the CPU fan and have the rear fan blowing onto it instead... not sure it would suffice for a decent overclock mind.
hmmm lots of choices for me though when i do purchase.

well i think i have a new favourite!

the PC101B is beautiful! any idea on UK release etc. for that one mate?

the cooling systems on these new ones look weird, are they efficient?

It is Lian Li so the cooling will be at least just above whats needed :)

Release I am imaginging will be around the same time as the others, they should start popping up next month im hoping!

The PC7+ and PC60's days are numbered in my opinion, the competition for the old ATCS cases is really getting long in the tooth and at some point Lian Li will have to move on.

any bigger pics of the 101.... gotta find somehwere that has the LianLi's in the flesh as i really dont think pictures are that flattering, other than the V1000s which look stunning.

The v1000+ looks so much nicer in the flesh.

You seen the pics of mine in the case gallery / www.yewen.co.uk ?

No doubt more pics will pop up, I have not done that much research on the 101 I have to admit.
