"Next day delivery" - up to 9pm?!

The rainforest are now delivering until 9pm so it is now the standard. :p

All the cheap couriers, Yodel, Hermes, Amazon logistics now seem to deliver up until 9pm I imagine it's so they can pump out more parcels to keep their prices low.

To be fair I have a lot of stuff delivered and I've never had any of them balls up a delivery.

Staying until the guy turns up not an option?

I'd be very surprised if it actually got anywhere close to 9pm when they were delivered.

Well, that was a waste of time & money, certainly won't be ordering from that site again.

Looks like a trip into town tomorrow =(

Can't stay too late as I have a coach to catch

Hah Yodel :|

Was helping a friend with a project 3-4 weeks back - ~45 parcels in total, around 30 delivered by DPD on the dot every time the rest a mixture of Royal Mail and Yodel and 2/3rds were either on the last day of the delivery window or upto 3 days later and 1/3rd have never even turned up (so far).

Hah, apparently they've just tried to deliver it... I haven't seen anyone. They're going to try again tomorrow... yeah, good luck with that XD

They don't have direct contact with the driver... I told them if they fail delivery to return to sender, will probably ignore that though =P

Think hermes experience entirely depends on your local freelance driver

Ours is good and usually just press parcel round back if not in

I'm lucky with Yodel, my driver lives next door so if I'm not in he'll just put my stuff in his house and card me.

Bet if you had got it sent to your house it would have showed up sometime during the day lol

I've had this a few times, deliveries to a business address being attempted at 6 or 7pm - I don't understand how difficult it can be to check whether an address is business or not! Mine is particularly obvious, too...

Not all businesses close at 5pm though, so if they didn't attempt and you were working until late you would probably create a thread complaining your package hadn't arrived.

Can't win.

Cant trust yodel to actually try unfortunately

I was waiting for them to deliver an item, they said they had carded as no one in. The site is manned by security 24/7, you have to go past them to enter site at any time, Yodel drivers know this they deliver to site most days... It arrived the next day. Conclusion : driver had had enough on day one and didn't bother trying.

Then unfortunately I had another parcel down for yodel delivery. It was apparently delivered, I spent about an hour looking for the parcel as yodel had been on site (security log all people on and off site). No joy couldn't find it. Went and saw security on way home and they confirmed Yodel had been on site that day. Following day I got a call from security, Yodel had just dropped my parcel with them (I always have delivery to front gate in my delivery address) so Yodel blatantly lied the day before about delivering my parcel.

I don't trust them at all now
