Next Upgrade Thoughts

Are you serious???

The 780 and 780Ti is currently the sweet spot for 4K. Admitidly 4K isnt taking off very quickly, but they are far superior to AMD cards. Cooler, use less power and more reliable <---Only seem to hear about the AMD faults however!

I would say not.

The 780TI only has 48 ROP's and a 384Bit Bus to the 290X 64 ROP's and 512Bit Bus.

The best 4K card right now is this one Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 295 X2 8192MB

Well, I'd ascertain if that is the case first, and if you still feel you need more processing power, I'd look at something like a 3gb 780 (or 6gb version - if you're after peak performance in games like Watchdogs (if at all possible in this title) / Skyrim + mods). Personally, in your shoes I'd be going for a 3gb 780. Oh, & as others have said, upgrading the ram will make next to no difference.

What resolution are you running?

Is your psu up to scratch?

RAM is out of the question to be fair.

I only have a 850W XFX PSU at the moment but have a shed load of Seasonic and Antec 1200W+ PSU's donwstairs.

I have 2 sticks of 4. I do have another matching set of this memory downstairs now I've pulled them out of the mining rigs.

Really toying up between 2 x 780 6GB or a 780Ti...

Assuming there was no budget (there is, but I'm notoriously lenient with my budgets) what do you think the best GPU option would be?

I have a similar dilemma currently I have a i5-4670K (not overclocked) with a GTX780 3Gb with a 750 Watt Psu, as I only have a 1080, 60 Hz monitor at the moment, obviously to make use of my Graphics card I have the following options, purchase a 1080, 120Hz gaming monitor, purchase a 2K, 60Hz monitor (assuming a single GPU can perform reasonably well at 2K, 60Hz or wait for the 2K, 120Hz Gysnc monitor (if it ever appears).
Sorry if I'm going off the point a bit but I think it would apply to you as well. Do I wait until the Gysnc monitor, 120 Hz monitor arrives then see how one card performs in the hope that Gysnc (in theory) should give a very enjoyable gaming experience.

If it doesn't then for the sake of playing games in 2K will cost approximately £1K, to get a more powerful Psu, a new monitor and an additional Graphics card.
