*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

Can an external drive be plugged into the Nexus 10 to act as storage / transfer?

OK, it's not the best but I've recorded the screen effect:

You can slightly see it in the video, especially in slo-mo, but it feels and looks much more pronounced when I'm doing it than it looks when I watch the video back.

The right-hand side seems to react faster than the left, if I swap it round, the same side (now the left) reacts faster than the right.

Buttons were at the bottom.

It looks like it's there then as that means the correct side of the device is refreshing faster than the other, but for some reason I'm sensitive to it: Just asked my other half and she couldn't really see it very well, and even in the video's it's barely noticeable to me, only when I'm using it.

It's odd that I don't see it on phones though, only tablets in portrait mode :/ looks like the side of the screen that is at the bottom when held in correct landscape mode (camera at top of) refreshes slightly slower.

I'll try and have a look at a friends Nexus 7 to see if I can see it on there.

It would be more obvious on bigger screens.

I would assume phone screens would be set up to refresh from the top in portrait mode though. Where on tablets UP is landscape.

Would you chaps say the note 10.1 or Nexus is a better tablet than an ipad?

We have an ipad but very tempted to get an Android tablet as the price is much better. The note looks aweome but not sure i would use the stylus. The SD slot is great and would be ideal. Just cant decide.

If you work Mon-Fri I wouldn't bother ordering from google

TNT only deliver Mon - Fri, you get no choice of delivery day, and due to Googles instructions to TNT they will not

Leave with a Neighbour
Leave it on your premises
Arrange delivery to another address (work)

They just keep turning up the next day, knowing full well you are out.

I'm having to drive 40 mins to pick mine up before they send it back to Google.

If I have all the issues mentioned in the thread (lightbleed etc) I think I'll top myself. To be honest if its bad I'm returning the tablet and buying from John Lewis etc (lesser tablet)

Really? Mine was delivered to my work address fine

On a side note, I think that my Nexus 10 is the only one that can't play games a decent speed :( Every game I've played on it has lagged or had a low and uneven framerate. All the reviews seem to say the opposite which confuses me. The only one that runs ok is the Snowman or perhaps Dead Trigger at low settings

Might sound obvious but have you rebooted? Mine seemed very slow earlier until I rebooted for the first time

I got both my Nexus 4 and Nexus 10
delivered to my work address without any issues...

What other games have you tried? Pretty much every game I have played has been buttery smooth. Did not realise dead trigger had graphics settings but just tried on high and it's as smooth as you like.

I've tried all sorts like Trials, Drag Race, Dark Knight Rises, Vice City...Vice City runs ok but not what I would call smooth. I have rebooted so it's strange. Ah well I'm waiting for the replacement, maybe that will be better .
