MX player has always worked great for me. Dice player was recently updated to work too.

I have both and videolan installed which cover me for every file type I have tried so far. DTS plugin I need to try I guess

BS player works well for me, you need to tick "Use alternative HW decoding mode" under menu -> preferences -> playback preferences to enable it though, but it works pretty well.

That's funny, everything I have played over network has worked fine with both.

I allways use sw video mode in mx player... it hs less jitter on hd content...

Just tried BS player, with its HW+ option selected it seems to run much smoother than the other players.

There are two Chrome browsers, one is the regular Stable version and the other one is the Beta (latest features etc) version. So they are two different apps and you can run both of them side by side if you find the beta buggy.

You get new features sooner, at the expense of more bugs. If you don't mind waiting then the stable chrome release will eventually get the new features once they have most of the bugs fixed.

So far the main improvement with the beta is that it is much faster.

You've never seen an app go back into Beta? This is a new version and its very common to introduce new features into a Beta before releasing them into a stable version. Microsoft do it take SCCM it was in Beta for nearly 12 months before getting released as a new version.

Its significantly faster, has a localised zoom option and has some added bugs. They are seeing if people want/like the newer features and also ironing out bugs before it hits full release.
