Nexus 5 2015 refresh

They said sales were sluggish. I didn't see anything about the size or price being wrong. And as far as I'm concerned, the Nexus 6 is a belter of a handset. Wouldn't change it for anything currently on the market.
I'm not saying the N6 is a bad phone so I think it would be fairer to say Google got it wrong by only releasing a phablet last year.

I agree with you there. It should have been accompanied by smaller handset.

Let's hope they get it right this year with plenty of inventory.

Google said goodbye to most of the market with the Nexus 6.

The idea of a Nexus is to be a developer device primarily and so it needs to be representative of the average Android device. 5.9 inches is not (and never will be) representative. I would say 5 to 5.5 inches is representative.

Yep, I wouldn't have my N4 now if they had. Didn't go with an N5 when that was released because the N4 still served me very well and it would actually take a decent price point for me to give it up this year assuming it does get M :)

I personally love a solid premium feel to phones/tablets, my nexus 5 feels nice to hold but I still sorely miss the cold hard metal feel of my one s :( A metal band at the sides/top/bottom would certainly give the n5 a more solid/premium feel.

Having a glass back is stupid and I rather have a cheap rubber matte plastic feel over that any day of the week...

I'm hoping the N5X will be £250 and the N6X £300, so I can afford to buy both and test them out because let's be honest there will be plusses and minuses to either. Although I reckon they won't be that price. This is really more of a stream of consciousness than a post

Exactly what I thought when I saw that camera sticking out :(

Yeah, I honestly believe Apple screwed up the dimensions on the iPhone 6 and were forced to install a protruding camera. Then everyone else decided it was actually a fashion statement and now desirable to have a 'power bulge' for the camera!

Disappointed with the October 13th pre-order date as that means it's likely to run into November before we actually get our hands on them :(

Sticking out cameras have been around for ages. My GFs old One X had one years ago.

The push to make phones thinner is like the push for ever larger screens, all about style yet ultimately pointless.

End of October most likely.

The design is just as bad as the Huawei periscope.
