What about the 8gb? I don't need any more than that.[/QUOE]
I don't think they'll release one that small.
I hope it comes in at less than £300....
But if it comes with a S800, same screen etc. as the LG 2 then I would be shocked if it is any cheaper than £350
Personally I rather they just use a dual core s4 cpu and adreno 320 + 720P RGB SAMOLED instead to significantly reduce the cost.
You go away with your dual core CPU! Google would subsidize it like they did with n4 and that's it.
Well "assuming" that it is an exact copy of the LG G2 and comes in at £350.....what would you rather have
top end specs etc. for £350+
or
slightly less specs. (only for the screen and cpu chipset) that won't be much, if any worse in "real world usage" i.e. just look at the moto X etc. fastest and smoothest phone to date according to many sites & end users and not "much" difference in terms of sharpness compared to 1080P when it comes to the screen, at least outside the microscope... for £180-200
In my eyes it is a no-brainer.
Also, S800 is pretty pointless due to the throttling, fine for tablets but not mobile devices.
EDIT:
Plus with lower screen res. + less power hungry CPU chipset, the battery life would be even better or you could further reduce the cost since there wouldn't be any need for a big ass battery.
Dude, no one actual needs a quadcore, the Moto X clearly proves that, it basically has the dual core version of the S600 and it is almost always just as good as the S600 in benchmarks. I would much rather have a cooler, phone with better battery life that takes a very sligthly hit, even more so if it reduces the price.
Google should have partnered with HTC for the Nexus 5.
Sure would have helped HTC out as they seem to be going in the same way Blackeberry did
