Nexus 5 leaked

What aspect of the experience are you tired with? It's just that I upgraded from a GNexus to a Nexus 4 about three weeks ago (I know, I'm pretty behind the times) and it "refreshed" my feelings for Andoid a bit. My GNexus was starting to annoy me, bugging out on Maps, navigation etc, but the Nexus 4 is a far smoother experience.

I admit, the text size thing is my biggest problem with Android (Chrome) at the moment.

The constant freezing, apps force closing, the constant taking an age to load the app drawer for no apparent reason. I don't have that many apps/widgets running.

It just feels sluggish to use. I hate it with a passion.

Is this a real leak or just wishful thinking?

I assume it's real.

BTW that is the second time in this thread I have ignored something uvarvu has posted (by accident), only to go and post the same thing a day later :p Sorry!

Have you done a factory reset? I did that twice in the time I owned the GN, it does make a big difference.

The old Gnex had a bit of a weak SoC for 720p and it had slowish NAND too and no TRIM.

The Nexus 5 on the other hand should be good for a few years.

Didn't 4.3 introduce TRIM though?

google only "enabled" the TRIM option with 4.3 for nexus devices, supposedly the setting has been there since ICS, no idea why they only enabled it now :/

IIRC the only android phones to have TRIM enabled before 4.3 was the htc one series with ICS/sense V4

Has there been anything published about this or is it something you've measured/noticed?

It was mentioned in the Anandtech podcast recently. And it's the same with PC SSD's. Kinda like a rule of thumb. I read why but I really can't remember the in's and out's now though.

Someone here can maybe explain though.

Do we know that it's out in 2 weeks?

LG are pressing hard with the G2 launch on Tuesday and don't want to rock the boat too much with a Nexus release straight away is what I've been told, but units are out for shipping shortly after apparently.
O2 have the 32 GB as an exclusive too I've heard.

It's a great phone, the screen is very good and the construction is astounding, but coming from my One X which is so small in comparison while having a familiar size screen to use (the onscreen buttons take up some space on the Z1) as well as the fact I'm running stock Android which I adore, its a bit of an adjustment.
The camera is awesome tbf.

Google really need to step up their game when it comes to capacities. The iPhone 4S two years ago topped out at 64GB and it's only now (with the 128GB Meizu MX3 that will be released later) that anyone will be exceeding that.

32GB as a network exclusive (so presumably 16GB for the Play Store option) for what is meant to be a reference device is not acceptable as we approach 2014 with its LTE-Advanced speeds. The capacities should be 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

This phone is starting to look like a viable replacement for my N4. TBH I'm happy with it, just want a slightly larger screen and better camera.

Do we know the prices yet

Was very tempted to get the 4 after the price drop but if the 5 is the as the original 4 price then ill be getting one for sure.

My s2 is still a good phone, just need a change.
