Not really a fan, maybe its the gold colour trying to make it look high end or a material it's not? I much prefer the white or black.
I do hope this phone is released today or up from pre order
Aren't phone iterations usually released roughly the same week year on year and if so late Nov early Dec for Nexus 5 if it's following the Nexus 4 schedule, I'm basing this date on when I got my N4, with the announcement preceding at a time according to Google's strategy?

It seems that the event was just about the platy store, to be honest I'm getting bored of this all. I'm out of contract and the Z1 is looking attractive right now.

It certainly hs gone strangely quiet on all news fronts....does seem as though people have been told to keep something to themselves or that something really horrific with a device has been discovered to delay launch.

I always had a felling that it will be early Nov or late Oct.. the 15th etc is just BS and google probably never had any plans to do it.. but the hype train came too soon because there were some leaks and everyone sold their phones off to get this new non resistant nexus 5 ha.

I only heard rumours of the 14th (I think it was) and the 31st, and only more recently the 28th.
When the earlier date passed without news it seemed obvious it was going to be the later date (to most it always seemed a given, going off previous years), so I'm not sure why people are getting frustrated that there's no news.
We've got leaked official pics, the hardware appears to be known already, some of the 4.4 details are known. All you've got to do is wait a week (and likely only a few days).
