Why is the Nexus 4 behind the S3 with a bigger screen yet the same battery size?

My point is - benchmarks are just a guide and in reality, they don't provide concrete evidence.

Nexus 4 at launched sucked so badly, it got better but its nothing to write home about, I would say those seem accurate if it is just too compare the N4 vs the S4. Also anadtech battery reviews hold a bit more weight then most of the internet.

Goes to show how much software makes a difference, which is nothing new (to me anyway ;)). Can't just pull out of thin air that SAMOLED canes the battery from a benchmark.

No doubt Anandtech is the fairest with a 200nit playing field, instead of %'s. But they do get things wrong like the charge time of the S4.

the only thing keeping the phone a contender for me was the early hints of some sort of amazing collaboration with Nikon on the camera front. the last few months this seems to be a more distant dream. it'll be a good budget phone like the n4 was but unlikely much more than that.

Are they not releasing a new Nexus 10 tablet?!?!

Ill be getting the Nexus 5 but am unsure whether to get a Chrome book or a Nexus tablet too.

I'll be working away from home a few days of the week in the next month for several months so need something bigger than a phone but don't need a full blown laptop.

Mostly will be used for surfing [tethering with the phone]. I like that the Chromebook will give me Chrome browser on a bigger screen with a keyboard but im also wondering if a tablet would be better...?

Both are portable devices linked into Google Services so find it hard to choose.....

For me the call is for the Chromebook. I find the Nexus 7 a great browsing and viewing device but for any work I find the Chromebook the better option. The Chromebook to me is a lot more than a Chrome browser. I find it a terrific gateway into the must have Google services like GDrive, G Apps, G+ and Hangouts, GBlogger, etc.
