yup. exactly this. that was the final straw for me. have now installed slimkat w/ Franco Kernel and its happy again.

im not sure i want to wait until the Nexus 6 now though. the Z3/Z3C has really sparked my interest due to the battery life.

im not a fan of the camera/battery or no expansion. battery has greatly improved with the slim/franco combo. Android L didnt improve my battery either.

Camera is fine, its the physical storage capacity that is letting me down at the moment as I do a lot of video recordings. The battery seems fine currently

Hold on to your N5's as it seems like quite a few places are phasing the phone out getting ready for the N6.

If you're not a fan of the N6 and it's large size then you might want to keep the N5 and use Android L on the device.

This device is easy good enough for another 12 months. With the L release coming as well

Agreed! With L the proposed increase in battery life will make an already great device into a better one.

Ok, we'll see once Android L is officially released, I'm hoping that it'll have a favourable affect on the battery life of the N5 as it's the one Achilles heel of the device.

I know it was only the L preview, but I ran it for a while and felt no difference with the battery what so ever!

Just got my N5 and if anyone's thinking of ordering a Terrapin bumper case, don't bother as the fit around the top of the phone is terrible. Waiting on a Orzly folding case instead. Phone seems great though

To be fair I did see noticeably better battery life under L, enough to cover 4 hours overtime. Probably 'cos it kept turning data off though

so i have a quandry which i would like to resolve.

when i go to my dialer and click all contacts its showing my facebook contacts aswell which i dont want it to do.

if i go to my people app it only shows my google contacts which is what i want.

if i go to settings and remove the facebook account i have to re log into facebook and then they show again. if i uncheck sync contacts they still show.

does anyone know why?

Try uninstalling facebook . check contacts have gone. And then re add Facebook and quickly disable contact sync

I used my N5 for around 30 mins yesterday, just taking some stuff off it. My god it seemed massive after using the Z3c as my main driver. God knows what the N6 is going to feel like!
