*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Anyone advise when I would get the phone if ordered tomorrow with the following on Google's site?

Dispatched from warehouse in 1 - 2 business days

Since its Parcelforce who don't deliver at the weekend I guess I am looking at next week at the earliest?

Franco Kernel R30, Stock ROM, Greenify hibernating anything except anything which i require push notifications for. Rooted

Screen brightness set at 15%

Is this pretty good results? If so awesome :D

Lately I have been straggling to get 3hours screen on time and I'm not doing anything crazy and nothing much seems to be coming up with battery stats. Ill give Franco Kernel a try. I have a stock rom/kernel and just a rooted device.

After getting my nexus 7 (my first android device!) I'm thinking of getting one of these and getting rid of my iPhone.
Think I may hold off for a few months though as there seems to be a few issues at the moment that needs to be ironed out.
Has there been any recognition by google about these faults and if they are getting around to fixing them? How bad is battery life really? I use my phone a lot for browsing and such.

Most of the faults with the actual phone are resolved now. The camera got a big update to fix the slow focusing, and the speaker volume was boosted as well. Obviously there are some faulty handsets, but that's always true with any mass produced product. If you get a faulty one, google are great at swapping it out.

Battery life is pretty good actually, certainly a fair bit better than I was getting from my S4 anyway.

I have the Nexus 7 too and like you it made me just go and get the N5. Kinda annoyed though, 1-2 days dispatch and upon ordering it straight away says...

Leaves warehouse by 13 January 2014.

Although if it means before the 13th then I guess that's correct.

Ugh just got shipped!

Sadly I noticed I put my home address as the shipping address when I wanted it to go to work. I rang them up and they cancelled the order and ordered another as advised. Now I have an email telling me its been shipped and I have the parcel info as well as the confirmation of the cancellation. I've managed to cancel order #2 so won't be getting charged again.

How long did your guys items take to arrive from Ireland?

The typing on this phone is annoying me, on my iphone i rarely had to retype a word, on this i make so many mistakes it takes longer to write a message, curse for being able to type really quick!

My replacement N5 has the yellow tint all new N5's seem to have now :(

I also have back light bleed in the top right corner of the screen.

My nexus 5 received on the 3rd January had a yellow screen and the sound issue. The yellowing seemed to vanish and it looked just as clear if not better than the nexus 7 that is also here.
