*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

Will I need gapps or anything? I will do it in a bit I think :) Tinkering around at the moment, it's so nice!
 
Just ordered one off the rainforest. Had a gift voucher to use made it a little cheaper. My iPad 3rd Gen is gathering dust as well, I do love it but don't use it often so it's going to be sold. N7.2 should offer me that portability as I like the smaller size, sis has the retina mini so smaller is better for me. Will give it a whirl and try and see how I get on. Refund policy for rainforest is excellent.
 
Surprised there are a few 3rd gen ipad users moving to the Nexus 7. I have the ipad which I use a fair bit each day but it is quite heavy (main issue) especially when lying in bed but would like something smaller and android and 32 gb storage so I ordered the new Nexus 7 also.

Currently debating a folio case or just a back cover only as I want to keep the thing slim as possible unlike ipad!
 
Yeah using it one handed is a chore. It's excellent for browsing and such, considering what I do on the iPad I don't think I'll miss anything apart from screen estate perhaps we shall see what I have the N7 in hand. Also I've got a lot more apps purchased on Google than iOS so not all a lost.
 
Think I'm going to mess around with stock rom for a few days until CM 10.2 comes out for the N7 2. I use CM on my HTC Desire and love it :D

Smoother than my iPad 2... By a large margin.
 
True, the N7 has 2GB but not sure how much it would benefit past 1GB as what site will ever stress a gig?
 
Looking forward to mine, first tablet! but no sign of it yet and no dispatch note so might not be this week. Although I found out it's coming via Yodel so it's more of a "if" it'll come rather than "when" :p

It dies it you try anything that requires a bit of juice. YouTube, Skype or recording video all run for a few minutes and then lock the tablet. Some people where reporting the 15Q software fixed it so I flashed that with no luck, even tried rooting and running Cleanrom 1.5 again with no luck.

Asus are supposed to be collecting in some time in the next 2 days, also worth noting there was no problem with it being an import, apart from not being able to take it back to the shop.
