*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

This is from the first charge which included installing the CM 10.2 ROM and GAPPS 4.3. Setup and many downloads over wifi for my apps and stuff. Several accounts synced and what have you. I'm not going to charge until under 1% and I will try grab a screenshot before it dies. It will get a lot of use the next few days.

When I charge, I will use a fully charged Anker Astro Pro 10,000mAh portable battery to charge it to see how long/how much charge is used.

Took these:

Has anyone got a media player that can decode Dolby digital or ac3? All the major ones seem to have stopped it.

Dice player still does it but I wonder if there are alternatives?

BSplayer does AC3, 99% sure MX does and I think the modified galaxy player does too. DD encoded is AC3 isn't it?

MX doesn't have DTS support natively (but you can put it in with a quick google) but I think BSplayer does to cover off the other SS codec of choice.

Brought all the coins from my coin jar to work to take to the bank to cash in at dinner. Does anyone know if Tesco have these in store yet? Just found a Tesco Direct £20 off voucher which expired yesterday :(

Well impressed with it so far, its a million miles from my ipad 2 which my son now uses.

Ordered a Poetic Slimline case for it and a Micro to USB Female connector so I can use a mouse on it when I need to RDP or remote my server, sames me taking my laptop when I go away.

I think support has been pulled; none of bsplayer, mobo or mx played files with sound last night on new installs.

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure you need an OTG USB adapter rather than just a standard micro USB to female USB cable.

Something to with the Nexus acting as a host which it needs to do when connecting a mouse/keyboard/usb drive, if you connect it with a standard USB cable it'll be a slave rather than the host, and mice/usb drives etc won't work.

Host doesn't appear to work full stop at the minute.
