*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

Picking my 32gb one up at dinner from Currys :)

Also note they're doing a 5% discount if you choose home delivery. I'm impatient though!

Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the presses when using the keyboard? sometimes it is double clicking as the screen is so sensitive.

Definitely the best Android tablet so far very smooth, although Android still not as fluid as IOS

One thing I've noticed is that the speakers have quite a bit of background hiss,is this normal?

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure you need an OTG USB adapter rather than just a standard micro USB to female USB cable.

Something to with the Nexus acting as a host which it needs to do when connecting a mouse/keyboard/usb drive, if you connect it with a standard USB cable it'll be a slave rather than the host, and mice/usb drives etc won't work.

Yeah - its an OTG cable, I made sure of that.

On another note - has anyone used a tablet as a second screen? This would be a great companion to my XPS13 just to be able to have my email open on the side while I'm working.

Eeee, I've killed my battery today haha.

Been using it a lot! Down to 28% and the time is at 1d 7h 40m. So not too bad I guess. But I have been using it every 5 minutes today haha.

Either I'm very unlucky or there's very few perfect screens out there. First one had this weird white spot, where backlight was shining through, next one has a dead pixel. Third time lucky, or I'm gonna get a refund. Same nonsense happened with the first Nexus 7.

I've been resisting the urge to replace my laptop with one of these but I only use it for browsing forums and its both large and gets very hot!

I assume right now nothing compares to these for the money? Have got 5% off code and £20 off £200 spend so very tempted by the 32gb one!

Brought all the coins from my coin jar to work to take to the bank to cash in at dinner. Does anyone know if Tesco have these in store yet? Just found a Tesco Direct £20 off voucher which expired yesterday :(

I put all my Tesco voucher expiry dates in my Google calendar. So if I use my phone, tablet or PC I get a reminder a few days before it is due to expire !

I know,...is it very sad.... !

Third one now has two dead pixels.

Am I just being picky and is this just the norm these days? Pixels are so small now, most people probably just don't care?

Whatever it is, its bothering me a little too much.

titaniumx3, I know the feeling mine turned up from blue supermarket at 5pm today after **** up with delivery yesterday.

The first thing I have done is go on the play store and download a pixel checker fixer app.

I have one showing as bright/lit on black backgrounds at the top centre edge in portrait mode, more annoying though is the light bleed from the edge just above this and some cm or so left of the front camera, also some on top right edge.

Not sure what to do, could probably live with the pixel but bleed is so much more noticeable.

Not had a chance to even play or enjoy it before finding this downer out.

Just typed this post on it.

This is why I don't go searching out issues, it they're not bad enough for me to notice in general use then I'm not too fussed.

I know what you are saying tom, and I agree to an extent but on mine I had spied the lightbleed straight away as it is on the black notif bar at the top and even has a yellow gold tinge to it. Very noticeable in a dark room with brightness up high.

Sounds like you are seriously unlucky. No bleed on mine and I have no intent on looking for dead pixels. I haven't noticed any so am not bothered.

DO IT! Take it from me. I gave my laptop away when I got my first Nexus 7 a year ago!
