Nexus 9

No expandable memory Arikostinaal.

The thing that always gets me with 16GB is when it comes to holidays, I like to pack out a selection of movies and shows to watch which demolishes the 16GB of space. OTG cable is a possibility, but it's messy.

Thanks for letting me know. That's outrageous. Really. I'm with you, I've got 10Gb of music files on my phone and I know people say "use cloud" but I like to have a good few on there, and 32 GB is just not enough space :(

Gutted as I was really looking forward to this, but the memory is just a major letdown.

ditto.

i have a 16gb N7 and its just not enough storage. 32 is better but really id have much rather seen 64 or better yet an sd card slot.

am really also unhappy with the pricing. this gouging for a tiny little bit extra storage makes we want to say screw it and buy a hudl 2 instead.

£319 for the 32GB model should have been where it's at and be a little more realistic, then offer a 64GB storage space as the higher model. SD card slot was rumoured to make an appearance, it's all a little disappointing.

Again, I don't know why we are still producing 16GB devices, with the size of apps these days it can gobbled up very quickly with a few apps/games.

I think they are going to have a difficult time generating sales for this to the masses - at it's current price point it certainly won't be no Nexus 7.

I think they messed up. There should have been 64GB and 128GB options (or an SD card slot though google did say ages ago they don't like removeable storage not sure why not).
But the sizing is wrong also, how is a 9 inch tablet a replacement for an extremely portable 7 inch tablet. 8 inch at a stretch would have been the right size, and then later on release a 10 or 11 inch version to replace the nexus 10.

Now i'm torn between a Nexus 9 and the original iPad Air with yesterdays drops, some thinking to do whilst more reviews come out I think.

I'm pre ordering both, and will checkout the reviews and return whatever one I don't like. Both Google and Apple are really good with returns so if you can afford it, I think its the best solution.

BTW anyone know when this will be live, guessing 5pm?

ummmm, not liking those prices, especially now that you can pick up a retina mini direct from Apple for only £249, will be interesting to see how well these sell.

How is this comparable to the mini? Comparatively the 9 has much much much better specs, larger screen, higher PPI. The Nexus 9 is a direct competitor to the Air not the Mini.

For me it isn't a competition as I don't get on with apple products - not because they're bad, just because they don't have the functionality I like or have grown accustomed to. However it is aimed at the ipad air not the mini - which makes it very appealing and competitive price wise.

I think the pricing is just fine, but I'm hoping to pick one up in America in a few weeks time when I'm out there

At £250 or £300 in the USA you get the appeal of these new Nexus 9, but here they are just looking overpriced.

Now how to get them sent from the US without paying the import tax ;)
