I like the soft grip back, better than glossy. Pretty sure the build is going to be solid.
i bet by the time its shipping china shall have furnished ebay with a variety for you to choose from.

Oh don't get me wrong, I like my N5.
But the plastic back on the back of the N5 is one of the main reasons people site when claiming its got cheap build quality compared to its competitors. But now that surface is on the back of a £400 tablet, with a bit of brushed aluminium wrapped around it is suddenly 'Premium build quality'?
Putting the software updates asside (which I apreciate is a massive thing, and a key point to me), why would you not save over £100 and buy an nVidia Sheild?
I'm just of the view that Google have missed the point on this one (and the N6 tbh).

Really need to see some in depth reviews on this, at it stands I'm split 50/50 whether to cancel the order.
The material on the back doesn't bother me too much as it'll spend most of it's time inside a case anyway. I badly want that keyboard case, but yeah.. £110? I'm sensing a theme here.

Just found myself more annoyed with the £80 increase between the 16gb and 32gb models, especially when I just saw it's only a £40 difference between 16gb and 32gb on the Nexus 5.
If it was a 32gb Nexus 9 with a case it would be certainly be more of a deal breaker.

The shield at £240 does seem like better value plus it has a sd card slot. And it looks like they fixed the cracking issue.

Totally different SoC if that's what you were comparing.
Totally different CPU+GPU. Much better in the Nexus 9.

Yeah but they're different
nVidia's confusing naming.
Denver vs A15 cores. The K1 in the Nexus is nVidia's own core design +64bit, the other is off the shelf plain A15 32bit.

Well I'm going to look elsewhere for a tablet. This is just too much for too little.
The Nexus 6 looks great, but the tablet (that I really wanted) seems out of touch with reality. I know Google want you to use their storage, but when you're away from wireless, that's not an option so you want more storage. I might have snapped one up at 64gb, but the lack of storage increases after three iterations is just abysmal.

Ive ordered mine, black 32gb model, I did want the Sand version, but cant even pre-order it
