Nexus 9

Seen that there, made me come here. Is it worth it or is there still a better bang for buck tablet around the 250 range?

I have the 16b white version, and really regret not saving the extra cash for the 32gb version. That's not to say it isn't excellent - it's just that with 16gb space, you get left with about 9gb that isn't taken up by Android.

Received an update today to 5.0.2, anyone know if these were improvements or bug fixes ready for 5.1.1

According to Android police, they were looking at some of the details and it points very much to an incremental release to lay groundwork down for 5.1.1

Anyone on official 5.1.1 now?
Mate got it this evening, but looked like it was out a couple days ago!?

If it's sorted the battery drain, I'll definitely move back!

Edit: Went with the official 5.1.1 last night, and have used it a good bit today.
Battery life seems inline with what I was getting on the DirtyUnicorns ROM. Can't really say much else about it though... It works. :)

Really glad I bought one.

just bought this for 159.99 with ebay code.

shame 16GB only, but I can live with that for a while.

Time to retire my £99 Gpad 8.3, which was really nice piece of kit.

Got mine and updated to the latest version of Lollipop but the performance is not fantastic. In particular the multitasking. Running more than one Chrome tab often means each one has to refresh when moving between them. And Google Play Music is extremely laggy. Any ideas on how to improve it?

I was thinking of getting a Nexus 9 and was wondering how people are getting on them them now. Have all of the initial issues been fixed? e.g. backlight bleed, black screening, performance / lagging. Looking at the post above maybe not?

Last update fixed many issues to the point i was ready to throw my nexus 9 in the bin!

I've noticed these are down to £199 now at Argos, and the Gogole anounements today could see them drop further (if the Pixel C is designed as a replacement to the 9). So are they worth it now?

Is it going to be abandoned like the N10, or will it be supported long into the future like some of the other devices have been (I'm thinking specifically Marshmallow and then Android N and beyond)?

Yes. Go through Top Cash Back then Bespoke Offers and you should land one for around £150 using the argos price as the price to beat.

Cheers, I didn't realise Bespoke were back on TCB. I am doing this now as for ~£150 this should be a decent upgrade from my trusty old Nexus7 2013 that should hopefully last for a while! :)
