***Nexus One Thread***

Got my Nexus from Google two months ago and still haven't received a VAT invoice. When is it going to come, I wonder....total phone cost is still £380.
 
$558.65 charged by Google for the phone + Delivery
$97.76 in VAT from HM R&C
Giving a total of $656.41 charged to you

Natwest exchange at 1.432 (Which isn't too bad given the actual exchange rate which is 1.493 from XE)

Grand total is £458.39, or about 10% more than I paid for it 4 months ago :eek:

The nearest Nexus auction to ending on ebay for a phone that's already in the UK is at £345 with 12 hours remaining, £7 P+P

The circle is a trackball (useful for positioning the cursor in text entries and taking photos only :p ) :)

Its also so much cooler than the Desire, because 1) look at it, and 2) hardly anyone has one. (Having said that one of my housemates was forced into buying one 14mins after I did, for fear of being left behind on his lowly Magic :D :p )
 
oooooo really? *goes on a hunt*

the trackpad seems more like my omnia had. and i used that a lot in addition to the screen. I can see the touch buttons being crap but, id live with it :P


ahhh, it looks so much better than the desire too. I hope apple gives me a replacement iphone in a sealed box.

Xda forum, the Nexus sub forum. The dev forum is where its at, but do reading in the FAQ section first :) Rooting is almost essential :p I'm guessing if its brought on eBay it'll already be rooted? We can work it when you get it if you're unsure. Lots of other bits to do in this thread and the other one :)
 
Brand new in box, with plastic cover still on so nope not rooted.

Saying that i *shouldnt* have a problem, ran a hacked omnia and have a jb'ed iphone so its not totally new to me, but you can guarantee i'll come crying with a problem somewhere!

What sort of things are essential via routing? I heared theres a fix for the touch buttons, and ofc glow settings for the ball thing.

You mean it isn't flashing upon a new alert? Try installing Always flash from the market? :)
 
Supported the developer and bought trackball alert pro, was only £1.99 and works well supporting all my apps, still can't change the colour of when someone is ringing me though?
 
Been using that for a while, far better! Is there an option to change the bottom left button to hide the keyboard though? Removed the voice key option but it just takes me to the settings now which is kind of pointless.

Can't access the online kitchen, I'm guessing you have to pay?

I just mount the card from notifications and drag and drop files, simple as! backup my phone via nandroid and wave secure as well.
