I too was not charged for several months for the import tax. One day a woman at work came down looking for me and was wondering why DHL charged the company for the import tax! For some reason DHL assumed that because it was delivered to my work place, the order belong the company so added the bill to the company account :-/
 
Dont buy a Nexus One, Dock and Car dock from google.

It will work out as a total of £570.

£490 for the product. £80 customs tax.

Oh I love the phone though.
 
I'm thinking of selling my Nexus One and go back to BlackBerry Bold 9700...

I like the mobile browsing, but it just isn't good enough for me on the go. =/ Even at 3G speeds it just isn't fast enough! It works fine over WiFi but thats only when at home... I also miss the better Facebook and MSN apps on the BlackBerry!

Shall I just go back to basics with a BlackBerry, am I going mad!?

Why not wait for 2.2 which speeds up the browser?

As for MSN, I can't say I use it much on the PC anyway so I end up using Gtalk for other people with Android phones.

Facebook app is ass though. But apparently they are sorting that out.
 
So im running Modoco Froyo rom and i was wondering what other 2.2 roms are out now? Anything worth looking at?

Also how are all your phones looking 6 months down the line. I got mine in January and haven't used a single case or screen protector on mine and its is still PERFECT seriously not one mark on the phone. The material HTC used for this phone is tooooop notch. My iphone was knackered after 6 months
 
I'm loving Froyo. Haven't rooted my phone but got 2.2 on it.

I just love my Nexus One tbh. I can't fault the device.

Mine would have been perfect too had I not dropped it. Slight scuff on one of the top corners but the screen is still spotless, despite landing screen down.
 
Dropped mine once onto tiles, was out of its case and no marks at all.

I decided to put Gelaskin back on, sad Nexus One!

Course we didn't :p Requires FRF50 to install as its only a 2MB update :eek:

....And that requires Stock 2.1 to install 2.2....

It also means I loose 720p that is built into Cyanogen's latest test build :(

Might stick with with 5.0.8 test 'til the source is released

When is Cyanogen using froyo?


Im using MCR 2.2 but want to try the 720 recording and Cyanogen
 
When the source code is released. That's the only way to build a proper ROM - from scratch, it's always been how Cyanogen has rolled, and how the guy with who created the 720p mod works too.

Both are waiting for the source before moving to 2.2 :)
 
I have a weird problem with my Nexus One, everytime I take a picture its in the gallery, but as soon as I sync with my PC the pictures get deleted! ;/

Sync? What's happening is because the pictures are not on your pc it deletes the ones on your phone so that both devices are the same. I don't know how your syncing but there will be a setting to not delete data from the device. However this might also stop music from being deleted.
 
Sorry I didn't explain very well, all I'm doing is connecting via USB then enabling transfer files on the phone to explore to the DCIM/Camera folder but the new pictures arn't there.

I've always done it this way and never had a problem! :E

So are they getting deleted or can you just not see them in Windows? Also when you take a picture have you tried turning the phone off and on then going into the gallery and checking the photo is there? Not just the thumbnail in the gallery but getting the full version.

Yeah being deleted of the phone, can't see them in windows and after I unmount it properly they have dissapeared o_O
