***Nexus One Thread***

So hopefully my phone will come back tomorrow. (Smashed screen £103 repair :( )

Must say HTC's repair service system is pure PANTS!

1) My UPS label NEVER got emailed meaning i had to write the address and UPS account number on the box

2) The repair centre documents did not arrive until 1 hour before the UPS dude came. If the UPS guy came earlier my phone would not have been accepted at the repair centre They had a full 24 hours to email me the stuff and claimed i would get the documents instantly on the phone

3) My repair status is "repaired and waiting to be collected, a customer service representative will contact you about re delivery" Well it was like that for 3 days and NO ONE contacted me.

Luckily every HTC staff i have spoken to were very well manared and helpful. They just have a poor automated service.

So what 2.2 ROM should i get when its back? I had Modaco one and i liked it due to it being close to stock, i then treid cyanogen and i didnt like it at all . Any 720 recording ones out now?

The Official has 720p recording. It's as stock as you can get with all the features in a application which you can enable or disable.
 
theofficial as in the 3rd party rom, i presume?


also, lep has been talking about adding the desire camera too sometime. Should make it 10x better
 
btw did anyone of you get your phone engraved by google when it came out? I was going to but i thought it may impact the price if i sold it down the line

Same reason. It's always tempting but I know I will want to sell it and no one will buy something that says "Tobes has a massive schlong"
 
gonna give that a whirl actually. Was the first rom i tried, and had a good time with it.

desire camera and 720p is just nom though.


quick q mate, do either downloads (stock / themes) have a black status bar?

lock screen controls can be done in leofroyo's "spareparts". be interested to know if anything else is out there (no music on phone so havent even tried it lol)

There's a paid app homescreen that's supposed to be good.

I think you can get this version with a black notification bar although it might have changed to a theme only version. Most of this doesn't really interest me as ALL the themes I have so far suck.

Cyanogen 6 RC2 has lockscreen media controls built in. Also easily themeable with a Desire theme.

Oh lord....... although it was THE slider phone when it was out. if you ignore the matrix banana phone that came out fat and green, i still got one haha
 
HELP.

Got the phone back and bootloader is no longer unlocked.

My recovery is still there when i use the volume down and power button but it wont laod into recovery.

How on earth do i go back and sort this mess out?
