***Nexus One Thread***

Dude, i managed to root my mrs' nexus last night without unlocking.

There is a thread over at xda on it -

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747598

What you have to do is download the apk for the unrooter in that thread -

Copy it to the root of your SD card
Downnload Astro
Download RomManager from Market
Download BusyBox and install
Get hold of a copy of SuperUser.apk and copy to root of SD Card

Get your ROM
Get the latest Google Apps ROM

Method.

Install Astro
Install the UniversalAndroot using Astro (I did select to NOT install SuperUser)
Run
Root
From SD Card install SuperUser via Astro
Run BusyBox and grant su
Run RomManager and grant su

Flash recovery in RomManager

Reboot in to recovery (NANDROID BACKUP NOW!) and then flash your desired ROM / Google Apps

Hope this helps

Damn that boot up information should be banned. I may be a geek but my god thats just a little sad. How do i get the original back?

Must be a new phone as o had a small dink on the side and now its gone.

Hope my camera is better because i think my old one had a dodgy sensor

pish id used it before when it was in its infancy, loved the flac support addition :D ;)

thats the beauty of android though, so much to choose from. So glad i ditched the iphone, was totally not for me coming from an omnia which had the same level of rom support as this n1 :D
