Nexus Prime

My lime green was in relation to the load of bull about the screen. If Samsung make it like we are told at the very least it will have the screen of the gs2. But I suspect it will be better

same here, i can't believe for a second they would take a back step now.

It wouldn't surprise me, unfortunately. If the costs of the new panels are too high then Samsung will have to hold off using them for a while.

Or perhaps Google are having a say in the price and want cheaper panels used?

well google/samsung will be going head 2 head with the ip5 on this one and for the first time it will be a proper head to head, even if they sold and broke even or like the ps3 at a slight loss it would be worth it!

Yep.

Build quality.
'Low res' screen.
OEM UI skin (Touchwiz)

The Nexus Prime solves these common misconceptions/complaints by adding a 720p screen, metal body and stock android.

I also think that the screen shouldn't be knocked if it is a Pentile screen - At 720p res it will still be very very sharp and the pentile effect maybe quite hard to see.

You will still get the advantage of more space on the desktop/screen/web page etc.

I'm still happy with my Galaxy S and that's PenTile. Being OLED it makes up for it in other ways compared to the competition (at least at the time I got it).

Having a Google phone sounds like a great idea to me - Samsung are still to release certain sources for the SGS, which makes development of AOSP ROMs very difficult and problematic. We all like to tinker, especially Android users.

Having used one for 18 months I would never, ever go back to one. I really despise the way they mess up 1 pixel lines and text, and make loads of shades of grey look very pink.

These issues are inherent and no resolution changes will fix that.

wasn't that issue only on the desire and more pronounced at low brightness levels?

did the galaxy S have pink tints?

The only time I've ever noticed pink shades on the grey on my SGS was when lowering the brightness levels to below minimum (e.g. using screen filter, custom brightness table). Never a problem at stock, sounds like Kreeeee must have had a bad example of a screen. What phone was it?
