NFL 2015 Season

Anyone else seeing a Seahawks vs Patriots superbowl?

Can't see the Packers with an injured Rodgers win against that lot up in Seattle, same with the Colts or Denver vs Patriots at home.

Yep seeing the exact same match-up myself. I called a Pats vs Packers SB earlier in the season but I've got to change to the Seahawks now simply because of how incredible their defence is. Rodgers was still limping somewhat tonight and if he's not 100% by next week it could be pretty brutal. Also GB are so-so on the road and have a poor record at CenturyLink. It's looking like it's going to be a Pats vs Colts AFC Championship game, it'll be tough but I think we'll get the better of them.

edit: some of the NFL rules really wind me up. There are so many unnecessary and overly complicated rules, it's off-putting for people trying to get into the sport. It's part of the reason why it's not more popular outside of the USA. It's so complicated that they need a rules expert on permanent standby to explain and give his view on rulings to the commentators.

Sad to see my Cowboys out tonight, can't help feeling that call at the end was wrong, next year we'll come back better & stronger, whereas Peyton is starting to look a bit overworn tonight.

Peyton looked devoid of any idea out there tonight, wouldn't be surprised if he retired after that. He's looked anything but himself the past few months.

Here's hoping Rodgers is somewhat healthy against that defense up in Seattle, if not it'll be a long game for a Packers team who suck away from Lambeau.

Peyton is one of the GOAT at going over the top and he fluffed the throw each time he tried it last night.

Something wasn't clicking.

He is still an absolute hero. His ability to whip an offense into shape is pretty special.

I am dreaming of Peyton retiring into becoming the Colts offensive coordinator.

that was an interesting call - technically the right one but still utter nonsense. How much of a "football move" is needed??

I would think it will get changed for next year and be called the Bryant rule. Add it to the Tuck rule as stuff that shouldn't have happened.

Is that the last we'll see of him suited up for a game....at 39 next season he production is undoubtedly on the wane, the Bronco's took a gamble on him winning a title before this point and he blew it last year.

The trouble is where do they get a replacement QB from? The draft doesn't look strong and free agency isn't look too hot either.

On to the conference title games though....

Seattle over Greenbay and Patriots over Colts leading to a Seattle/Pats SB.

Unless Rodgers can be more mobile he'll get eaten up by Seattle I reckon and I just don't see the Colts getting past the Patriots and Foxboro

If they look a few years down the line and do things properly, they'll draft that QB from Toledo, granted NCAA is a whole different animal, but that guy has SUCH potential.

Starting QB replacing Manning, nope but if they got him, Manning hung around another year, and he had a proper apprenticeship/understudy role, he could be great.

Have to agree regarding the call vs the Cowboys. By the rules but bit of a farce nonetheless - and I dislike them.

Seahawks vs Patriots is certainly the most likely outcome but you never know.

After over 10 years not following NFL I got back in start of 2013 season and picked the Seahawks as my team after watching each team play once. (mainly because of Russell Wilson). Think I made the right call!
Although I'm not sure I'd call myself a 'fan' of an NFL team - I don't feel the same win or lose as I do when the Blues play.

I hope Rodgers can recover some more though as it could be a bit of an underwhelming game if he doesn't. As fans of the sport we want to see such a good QB go up against Seattles immense defence. Then see what Wilson can do going forward.

I think Rodgers will be fine. The first half I think he was holding back a bit and seeing what he could do. His last 10 throws he went:

10/10, 163 yards, 2 TD, 8 1st downs

Although I do believe for the Packers to win the Seattle secondary will need to play massively below par and Cobb/Jordy will need to have games of their lives.

i see lots of packers fans here. :)

it will be a tough game against the seahawks, but their run defence is not as good as it has been so I think Lacy will get a lot of carries (unless his asthma plays up again). While the seahawks secondary is immense can they cover all 3 wide outs? unlikely, the packers just have to hope that Davante Adams is up for it as he was against the cowgirls.

should be a good game nonetheless :)

It was 10am for the premium club single game tickets.

I ended up buying 2 season tickets instead (was waiting to see if there were better seats in the single game sale). Didn't before as I wasn't sure it was worth it without knowing match times. A lot of money in one go :D

So many salty cowboy fans! As a packers fan it was all good as far as I'm concerned ;) the ruling was correct and not exactly a big aurprise just people are touchy about it BC of the importance of the game.

Seahawks next - easy mode. :p:p

I honestly don't even see it being that close. As funny as it sounds I see both championship games being less competitive than the divisional games last week. The Seahawks D has more than enough class across the board to deal with the Packers receivers. I'd be surprised if Rodgers even throws at Sherman to be honest, he hasn't in the past and I don't think anything changes after Sherman's performance against Cam Newton. Rodgers will try to beat up on the other CB.

It will be interesting to see how the Packers deal with the Seahawks pass rush. They are normally pretty good at protecting Rodgers, but they'll need to step it up to another level. The key for Seattle when they have the ball is whether they can maintain production from the run game. They average very similar yards per game to the Packers, but more of it comes from the running game. If GB can shut down Lynch, they have a good chance of limiting Seattle's production on offence.

Big games tonight, can't wait to see what Rodgers and the Packers have to offer against that defense up in Seattle.

Then it's onto Luck vs Brady, expecting the Patriots to run the ball as they did so successfully in their regular season game against the Colts.

Seattle v Patriots Superbowl ;)

God damn Rodgers why would you underthrow a deep-ball on Sherman?!

Lucky pick the other way though but I'll take it. :) This game could be awesome.
