NFL 2015 Season

The gulf between the colts and patriots was frightening last night...

So much was bad in the colts it is hard to reflect on the season as one of large improvement.

And it is likely to be Reggie Wayne's last game for us.

The pats should own the Seahawks, they nothing but defence, don't deserve to be in th SB on that performance I mean GB can't even manage the play clock half the time and nearly beat them.

With lynch and Sherman taking knocks it could be good

Go pats!

Well the GB v Seattle game was most certainly a game of 2 halves if ever there was one.

Credit to the Hawks for pulling it back. Wilson was awful but at the end of the day he came through and made some long completions when it was all or nothing.
Seahawks played one of their worst games in 2 seasons that I've seen and still made it to the Superbowl.

It'll take a much better performance to beat NE but they can't play any worse than that.

I certainly wouldn't bet against them as they will have extra motivation now after being all but done at half time last night.

Pundits had it right from the start - you ain't beating Seattle with just FG points. You need touchdowns when you have the chance.

I didn't make it far into the Colts v Pats highlights - it was clear that one was over very very early on.

Well the Seahawks offence played one of their worst games, not the defence, they kept it to 9 points on 5 turnovers which is absolutely crazy.

Worst coaching performance I've ever seen though, whether it be McCarthy or Capers, the prevent D and up the gut runs when they turned it over were pathetic

oh the Packers......

as a mate said, the Seahawks didn't beat the Packers. The Packers beat the Packers.

Two early turnovers and they get 6 points from them. Some really bad play on defence - the int "return" in the 4th and that atrocious onside kick debacle. What was he thinking....go block the guy and let the best receiver on your team catch the ball!
and finally....not having safety help on that touchdown catch. Blown coverage or a bad call?

Credit to Seattle though, they kept going and came up big in the end.
Will it be enough to play like that versus the Patriots? I doubt it, they'll need a much better game to stand a chance.

I'm now in a dilemma....I'm not a Pats fan and the Seahawks knocked out my NFC team...so who to cheer for now!

Meanwhile back in Oakland (who are my real team) we've now got another new head coach....will he make a full season?

Worst coaching performance I've ever seen though, whether it be McCarthy or Capers, the prevent D and up the gut runs when they turned it over were pathetic

Capers has always been shocking - We've been saying that for years.
I like McCarthy for what he does to build the team but his play calling is extremely stale.

Well I was right that the Pats game was going to be a blowout, but I couldn't have been more wrong about the Seattle game. I've rarely seen the Seahawks play that badly, and yet they somehow won. Some truly dreadful defensive play from the Packers towards the end, they must still be wondering what on earth happened!

It's going to be an interesting SB. Sherman and Earl Thomas both seemed to be really struggling, so that would be pretty major if they are still in a bad way in two weeks time. The key for NE is going to be stopping Lynch and Wilson on the ground. If they can do that, their cornerbacks are easily good enough to shut down the Seattle receivers. It will also be interesting to see whether the Pats can find a way to beat the Seahawks D.

Should be an interesting Superbowl, n1 in the AFC vs n1 in the NFC.

Last time Pats played in that stadium they lost to the Giants, Seattle looking to repeat. On last nights showing I'd give the edge to the Pats after seeing what the Packers did to Seattle.

Belichick is no McCarthy with awful game management and play calling, I think you're going to need to go for opportunities when they present themselves, going back to last nights game. New England in that scenario goes for it on those 4th downs and most certainly manages the time better than what those Packers managed.

Biggest choke I've seen in a long time that, still shocked by what I witnessed. Seattle had no business being in the Superbowl.

Given the number of footballs used in every game (50?), if you were fully tin foiled up you could imagine a conspiracy of the deflated ball only being given to Brady.

The weather has pretty wet and miserable during the game so a deflated ball is supposedly easier to grip and catch.

But to be honest even on any given drive the umpires and line judges are probably rotating half a dozen balls, and they aren't going to give preference to any particular ball.

Also given the size of the blow out yesterday why would the Patriots bother?
