NFL 2015 Season

My first ever Superbowl. It's not as bad a game as I thought. Still don't get the tactics side of it yet... it all just seems like a big game of "bundle", but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Classic SB. At points in that third quarter I thought the game had gone from the Patriots but all credit to Brady & NE for beating one of the best defences and certainly secondary (even if injured) with those last two TD drives. Epic game and clash that was just an all round good SB.

Did think it was a bit lacking in class booing an opposition coach during a national anthem though (and no I'm not a Pats fan). No matter how much you hate them, not the time or place.

Amazing finish to a great season but don't let it get you down that it's over just give Super League a try!!

I hate the patriots but they were fantastic.

The draft will be great for my Tennessee with the second pick we will go for Leonard Williams now we have Dick Lebeau onboard.

Well 1 week to go until the draft, so I thought I'd revive the thread to get some pre draft discussion going.

What are your teams glaring needs and who do you think you will be drafting next Thursday?

For the Steelers the major needs are an OLB to replace Jason Worlids and a Corner to replace Ike Taylor. Some pundits are stating we also need a Safety to replace Polamalu but I think we should give that job to Shamarko Thomas who we drafted a couple of years ago.

For OLB I really like Bud Dupree. He is over 260lbs and a great athlete. Unfortunately I think he will be gone by the time the Steelers pick at 22. Indeed I think all the top 5 pass rushers will be gone by 22. So a corner seems most likely in round 1, maybe Kevin Johnson or Jalen Collins (Trae Waynes will already be gone).

Then in round 2 my hope is that Eli Harold (OLB) falls to pick 56.

Post 2nd round I have no idea as I don't watch college football

Seahawks don't really 'need' a great deal I reckon. Not sure when Richardson is back from his ACL, a potential star CB would be great. And not sure if any of the current roster will be starting center in place of Unger, so perhaps there too. Chuffed with Jimmy Graham :D

As a Vikings fan I'd like to see us strengthen our offensive line, but all the mocks seem to have us taking a corner or receiver next Thursday; time will tell I guess. Also I can't see Adrian Peterson ever playing in Purple again, so I guess we'll be in the market for a new franchise back.

Titans need about 35 players, really hoping for Leonard Williams in the draft so we can at least have a decent defensive unit.
Think that Tennessee will trade down for picks? If you're not going to draft Mariota then you could probably get a king's ransom from a team which will (*cough* Philadelphia).

I feel that the price Seattle paid was too high; I wouldn't be happy if we traded a 1st rounder and one of the better starting centres in the league for him, but then I've always felt that he was overrated and would be exposed once teams caught on that he was being used as a pure receiver and covered him accordingly (which is arguably why his production declined so much last season).

As a Pats fan, I'm happy with next season's schedule that they've just released. The Pats have what looks like a pretty easy run to the playoffs, though you never know what might happen.

On the roster side of things, I'm concerned about losing Wilfork, Revis and Browner. I think we'll miss those guys massively and I don't think we'll be able to replace them in the draft. I think the Pats draft focus needs to be on acquiring a few CBs to replace Revis and Browner, a defensive tackle to replace Wilfork and possibly a linebacker as well. I don't see the Pats repeating with another SB win because of the losses on the roster, but I'd be very surprised if we don't make the playoffs.

i'm hoping the rams can improve the offensive line to offer the qb better protection, there are a few options being thrown about, but as long as there an improvement on what we have i'm happy.

not sure on foley, from what i saw at the eagle's hes a step up from bradford, but how he'll settle into our offensive plan is something we'll have to see, don't think theres a qb in the draft that we can get that will be an obvious improvement on him so fingers crossed.

with the wr's being shown out i would dearly love us to get one of them, but unless we trade i can't see it happening, as i think we need the front line improved more than wr :(.

Unfortunately as I'm back from a short holiday I might miss the first round which is a shame because I quite enjoyed watching it last year.

Bears have so many needs I think they could draft any position on D in first round or go for one of the best WRs. Hoping we don't do something silly on Mariota although I personally would consider trading Forte or (if anyone was silly enough) Cutler for more/better picks. We need several off-seasons to rebuild after the damage Emery did.

once I stopped laughing however I remembered that the Raiders just signed Trent Richardson to a surprisingly large contract, so perhaps there is hope for you yet... :p

edit: also just remembered that they took Christian Ponder off our hands, so they already have their quota of third-rate QBs
