NFL 2015 Season

Marcus Mariota...... Well I'm not happy about that, we should have gone for Leonard Williams as we have Zach Mettenberger who got no protection last year or help from any WR's! Mariota comes from a draft that was short on QB talent but hey what do I know........

I hoped we would, he is the best of an average bunch but Leonard Williams or Randy Gregory could really make a difference in Tennessee as we need to get the defence back to an average state.

I guess it was similar to the Texans conundrum last year, take the best player or a position of need.

Will be interesting to watch Kevin White next year. Have so many holes it was going to be difficult to have a bad draft.

Amari Cooper looks excited at the prospect of playing for the Raiders next season!

Dorial Green Beckham is apparently a good pick.... 4 drug arrests already in his short life time, although with that record he might be NFL ready just got to murder someone now....
He was at Oklahoma last year, didn't play a single down though due to suspension.

Well after having a few days to digest the draft (and read up on the drafted players I've never heard of) I think it's a mixed bag for the Steelers but more positive than negative.

My views are:
Round 1: Bud Dupree OLB: A+
He has been inconsistent in college but as a physical specimen he is exactly what we needed. His size makes him decent run blocking as well as the pass rush

Round 2: Senquez Golson CB: C
Steelers needed a replacement for Ike Taylor to play on the outside and match up against the opposition number 1 receivers. You're not going to get a top notch shutdown corner in round 2, but you could have gotten a decent 6foot cover corner. Instead Steelers drafted a 5foot 8 nickel corner?

Round 3: Sammie Coates WR: B
We needed a 4th choice depth pick at WR, but using a 3rd round pick for this seems too high to me. He is 210lbs so hopefully he has a bit of strength to play as a slot receiver.

Round 4: Doran Grant CB: B
I'm probably happier about this CB than Golson in round 2. Seems decent

Round 5: Jesse James TE: B
We needed a TE to eventually replace Heath Miller but James isn't it (but I wouldn't expect a 5th round pick to be). He will be a blocker to play as a number 2 TE.

Rounds 6 + 7: I don't really know much about them, and I'll wait until to see if they actually make the 53 man squad before I do.

I can't really have any future complaints due to the Titans being so underwhelming last year that it can only get better but maybe we can find an identity with this group of players, I remember when we used to be exciting With Eddie George and Steve McNair and then we were very tough and good defensively with Haynesworth and Van Den Bosch but the last few seasons have left us with no outstanding players really, some nice up and comers but nothing exceptional.

From everything I've read or listened to the Titans have had a good draft. Mariota at least makes you more interesting.

Although as everyone says you need to give it at least 1-2 years. Who knew Odell was the best player last year.

He has a better chance as we have improved our offensive line from last year and added a few new attacking options but if Mariota gets injured or hasn't got it then Mettenberger will show his class.

Lucky you on not seeing much of Tennessee last year!

Bengals underwhelming as usual.

Wish they would sack the coach and front office, every year they hover in and around but never progress. No blinking ambition and Leeis is the reason we won nothing back in the Chad, Carson, Rudi days, that an bad drafting again.

Lucky you on not seeing much of Tennessee last year!

I'll always choose to watch my own team first, and then inevitability end up seeing a lot of NFC North games or the so called bigger teams when they aren't on.

That said on the opening weekend, after the Bears gets stuffed by the Pack again, I might look in on the battle of the rookie QBs. Curious to see what either do this year.

The only thing that concerns me is that the report states that

'it's more probable than not that a couple of Patriots employees deflated footballs'
and
'it's more probable than not that Brady knew about it'

Given this suggests that they have found no actual evidence of ball tampering, what kind of sanction can you impose about what you think a team has done?

Either way someone is going to be upset about it.

Well they can't prove anything because there is no video evidence of him doing it in the toilet, but if you piece everything together then it's kinda interesting.
