NFL 2024 season

I could have caught that, no idea what Kincaid was doing. One of the easiest catches ever.
I don't like either team in the SB, can't stand the Chiefs, the Eagles fans are very annoying, they were a right bunch of idiots at a Wembley game and really don't like Sirianni at all.
I like Barkley so guess I will side with them in 2 weeks.

Brutal for the Bills
Play calling was rancid even on the touchdown's they scored and just as bad on the last drive (Cook hello???)

That said, when games are this close and the opposition is that good. You can't have huge ref calls going against you, the 'catch' and that turnover on downs call which Allen clearly made the line of gain would haunt me.

A Super Bowl to miss for sure

Yes not sure why people keep saying you can't overturn the call as it wasn't obvious, well clearly seeing the ball in line with the big orange down marker might be a clue or the ball hitting the ground while the receiver had no control of ball as two players either had it or not falling to ground

Commanders shot themselves in the foot with the penalties and turnovers...

Chiefs scrap through with the Bill's making a mess of things as well....

Yeah, whilst I felt there were a few odd officiating calls in favour of the Eagles, it simply wasn't to be. I mean, I knew going in that they were the better team, but we didn't help ourselves with a fairly average performance.

As for a few of the calls in the second game, I just watched it, skipping through ads and was a little surprised they were reviewing the catch as I thought a play had run, but I guess a penalty meant that play hadn't happened? The ball didn't look to move, with the receivers hand on it, again not moving, as it hit the ground, so I believe the rules say that's a catch.

The spot on Allens run was a little harsh, but personally (and trust me, I wanted the Bills to win) I didn't think replay was clear enough, too many bodies in the way of the ball. Yes, I thought he had it, but it was tough to see exactly where the ball reached.

I feel bad for Kinkaid. It wasn't a gimme, but you would certainly expect an NFL received (or TE) to make the catch.

I'm honestly really not that bothered by the Superbowl now. I think if you'd asked as the playoffs... maybe as the season started, which two teams I wouldn't want in the Superbowl, it could well have been these two.

Two decent games, and I am paying for it this morning. :D

Not a fan of the Eagles but it was like men vs boys at times. A professional performance.
Daniels has a great future, but this game came a little early.

Told myself not to stay up for Bills/Chiefs, but got engrossed.
Decent game, but Bills will be Bills. Couple of questionable calls, but even with those calls, Bills could and should have won the game.
As much as Joe Brady has improved the play calling, they are still too reliant/intent on letting Josh Allen to do his "thing".
If I was James Cook this morning, I would be pretty upset how much of that game I spent on the sidelines.

The game came a bit early for the rest of that team rather than Daniels lol. They had no hope with the turnovers and he was constantly playing from behind. There was the one 'clear recovery' call which somehow the refs made the opposite decision in the Packers Eagles game.

Regarding the Bills, every team can always do more to win (had they won and Chiefs lost, you'd point to their shortcomings). You can't have refs influence a game so significantly when the competition is that close and I'm sure coincidental but it is always in the Chief's favour when it matters

That one hurts and I'm paying for it this morning in work! Fuming with the ref calls as you shouldn't have to be playing against them as well, but expected against KC. Equally however, we did our best not to win it. It's frustrating as at the start of the season I didn't even think we'd win the division but as things started to click, it felt like this might be the year.

Yea, a big shame this morning, in that the more 'boring' teams won. I really feel for Josh Allen and the Bills today. If ever a team or fan base deserve one it's them. I do think for as great as the Chiefs are as one of the dynasties of the NFL they do always enjoy the 'rub' of the right side of fortune. I'm sure all of those close calls can be argued to be correct but they just seem harsh.

My hope for the Superbowl is that Barkley can't be stopped and the Eagles D can cause problems and turnovers. Even if the Eagles are arguably weaker on D than two-years ago they have all the right pieces to do it. Just a question of whether they can.

The 4th down call was shocking, the line judges are running straight down the 40 yard line which gives the the 1st, one veers off as a Chiefs player gets in his face and they end up spotting it nearly a yard short of where they ran, not sure why video replay didn't see it either, ball is clearly in line with the massive orange yard marker on one shot, and the over head is clear as day.
The catch one, surely both players are fighting for the ball, Chiefs player only gained full control when they were on the floor, after the ball had hit the ground.

One did, one didn't. Again, there wasn't a clear view of the ball. You don't judge the ball against the yellow marker, that can move, even if only small amounts. You use replay to make a spot, then bring the chains out. There's a moveable tab that gets set on the chain at a corner of an incoming yard line (like a 35 or 40) so you have the exact point for when you bring the chain out, stretch it out and even use the old index card if needed. There wasn't a clear view of the ball to move the spot.

Again, I thought he'd got it, but there wasn't enough to move the spot.

**EDIT** Actually, is that still the process? I don't think I've seen the chains brought out in a while?

Quick search reveals it is apparently although the NFL is meant to be looking at modern tech to replace the chains (and this game probably presents a good case for that).

The one that didn't was on the other side of the ball so had no clue but still ran very close to the 40 yard line until the Chief player got in his face. The line to gain was the 40, yellow line and orange marker both straight down it. There are two clear shots showing he gets in, showed it on PFT on Sky.

I intentionally didn't watch the Sky coverage, but any replays I saw, the ball was not clearly visible to be able to spot it. I was listening to the Ross Tucker podcast last night and he said almost exactly what I've said, along the lines of he wanted the Bills to win, he thought they'd got a 1st, but there wasn't enough to move the spot as the ball isn't clearly visible.

With regard to the above story, I would very much like that to happen for London.
As regards the team itself, I think they should bring back the team name London monarchs. If that happened then I'd happily switch my allegiance to that team from las Vegas, and I would make an effort to go and see the team play at Wembley or spurs if I could get tickets.

I'd be interested to see what others think about this.
