Yes not sure why people keep saying you can't overturn the call as it wasn't obvious, well clearly seeing the ball in line with the big orange down marker might be a clue or the ball hitting the ground while the receiver had no control of ball as two players either had it or not falling to groundBrutal for the Bills
Play calling was rancid even on the touchdown's they scored and just as bad on the last drive (Cook hello???)
That said, when games are this close and the opposition is that good. You can't have huge ref calls going against you, the 'catch' and that turnover on downs call which Allen clearly made the line of gain would haunt me.
A Super Bowl to miss for sure
The 4th down call was shocking, the line judges are running straight down the 40 yard line which gives the the 1st, one veers off as a Chiefs player gets in his face and they end up spotting it nearly a yard short of where they ran, not sure why video replay didn't see it either, ball is clearly in line with the massive orange yard marker on one shot, and the over head is clear as day.Yeah, whilst I felt there were a few odd officiating calls in favour of the Eagles, it simply wasn't to be. I mean, I knew going in that they were the better team, but we didn't help ourselves with a fairly average performance.
As for a few of the calls in the second game, I just watched it, skipping through ads and was a little surprised they were reviewing the catch as I thought a play had run, but I guess a penalty meant that play hadn't happened? The ball didn't look to move, with the receivers hand on it, again not moving, as it hit the ground, so I believe the rules say that's a catch.
The spot on Allens run was a little harsh, but personally (and trust me, I wanted the Bills to win) I didn't think replay was clear enough, too many bodies in the way of the ball. Yes, I thought he had it, but it was tough to see exactly where the ball reached.
One did, one didn't. Again, there wasn't a clear view of the ball. You don't judge the ball against the yellow marker, that can move, even if only small amounts. You use replay to make a spot, then bring the chains out. There's a moveable tab that gets set on the chain at a corner of an incoming yard line (like a 35 or 40) so you have the exact point for when you bring the chain out, stretch it out and even use the old index card if needed. There wasn't a clear view of the ball to move the spot.the line judges are running straight down the 40 yard line which gives the the 1st
**EDIT** Actually, is that still the process? I don't think I've seen the chains brought out in a while?
The one that didn't was on the other side of the ball so had no clue but still ran very close to the 40 yard line until the Chief player got in his face. The line to gain was the 40, yellow line and orange marker both straight down it. There are two clear shots showing he gets in, showed it on PFT on Sky.One did, one didn't. Again, I thought he'd got it, but there wasn't enough to move the spot.
