NFL 2024 season

I think people new into the sport, it would be great, they have a local team they can latch on to, but the tough thing is, you can't just change who you support... so then I'm left just going to see the teams I want to see, maybe a game or two a season.

With regard to the above story, I would very much like that to happen for London.
As regards the team itself, I think they should bring back the team name London monarchs. If that happened then I'd happily switch my allegiance to that team from las Vegas, and I would make an effort to go and see the team play at Wembley or spurs if I could get tickets.

I'd be interested to see what others think about this.
To be honest I wouldn't want the Superbowl in another country, yes it would be great but its taking away the biggest sporting event in the US, would be like the FA Cup final in another country or something.

A team would be interesting though, I go to all the London games so more the better. However, I can't see it working, the travelling alone would be a nightmare, not sure many current players would want to be based in England. I think if there was a team its probably going 0-17 every year until they bin the idea.

There's been talk for years about a international team, or division. Personally the international aspect has irritated me a small bit; NFL Game Pass being neutered for years in the UK, plus being more expensive than elsewhere, the various levels of incompetence for the last two Game Pass International providers and more recent aggressive tiering of London game prices. Although some of this is a reflection of the success and stability of doing games in the UK and Germany.

A more local Superbowl would appeal though. If only for the positive impact it would have on the timing of the event. And at least mean getting to sleep at a reasonable hour.

I'm a Bears fan so wouldn't cheer on a local UK team. I think the one future thing that might threaten this is a change of ownership. I don't like that sports are owned by billionaires and think there is a very strong case for fan ownership of teams. For example the Green Bay Packers, or the Bundesliga clubs 50+1 ownership rules. But even then that wouldn't change my allegiance, just likely end my fandom in that team.

Coincidence seems to have struck. Yesterday the 102 year old owner of the Bears passed away. Ownership in theory now goes to the children. We shall see what the future brings, albeit currently you can still trace the ownership of the Bears to the very beginnings of the game.

About time Josh got the credit he deserves, thoroughly well earned MVP this year. Get in!

Indeed. I do think either of Barkley, or Allen deserved it most.

Don't care who wins as long as the game is exciting and no controversy, but President Poopy Pants is already there so too late. :p :D

I watched a bit of what I assumed was the semi final a couple of weeks ago, was as aar from exciting as was possible, maybe a bad game but I dont see how this could ever been fun

I am one of those people who only watch the Super Bowl and no other games. Co-incidentally I booked tomorrow off work because I need to take my car in for a service/MOT so I can stay up tonight!

That's me as well. Same with Wimbledon and stuff

Another who only really watches the superbowl. No work tomorrow so been looking forward to staying up (I usually bail at halftime) however its already been ruined as I forgot that ITV insist on trying to do their own commentary with that tit from the RedBull soapbox races instead of taking a US feed with people who actually understand what they are watching

Ooof. Fair enough if the Chiefs win, but want to see them actually not enjoy the benefits of the officiating calls.

I watch as much as I can, put it this way, I've only worked 3 Mondays since September :D

Its on Sky Sports if you have it

Poor call on that to be fair, but we'll see the impact it has. No sir how you defend a flying ball if you are both going for it.
