NHL 14-15 season

Can't wait for it to get back under way. Been enjoying the NFL as always but once the NHL starts it becomes my no.1 form of entertainment until it's all over again.

Not sure what to expect from the Blues this season but hopefully it's good!

Also rooting for the bluejackets - I seen a lot of them last season and was very impressed with their play style so I'm looking forward to seeing how they have evolved - I expect them to have improved.

Is the gamecentre worth $100? Not sure how many games I'd watch live and I can always watch highlights on youtube.

I think it is and don't watch that many live games. However, I do watch full length replays a lot the following day.

Plus I like how they have 10-11min highlights of every single game, uploaded within a couple of hours so they are all ready to watch the following morning.

Sat/Sun often have evening games at decent UK times too and the app is on PS4 - unlike YT (still!!!)

But if mostly just interested in live games it may not be worth it.

Allez Les Blues !!!!

Long time since I followed it religiously. And I mean a long time... Brett Hull, Cujo, Shanahan etc.

And why did I support St. Louis, well the MUD I played at university had a lot of 'wizards' (a couple of whom visited QUB to meet up with other players) based in St. Louis. I also think the MUD may have been hosted there for a period. It was Diskworld for anyone interested. Good times.

Cheers, think I'll get it. It's only about £60 at the end of the day.

That was a long time ago. To be honest I hadn't watched it properly for many years either - mainly due to weird timings and lack of coverage. Since the internet and the likes of gamecenter live it's now really easy to follow in the UK.
I don't have any legit reason to follow the Blues. I do just because they were fun to watch!!
I supported the Penguins as a child because of Jagr but I don't like them much these days

@bayo000 - Yeah £60 isn't much, only £5 a month and you get decades worth of classic games too. Downside is that it doesn't include the playoffs - you have to wait up to 48 hours for those due to them being on premier sports via sky.
Mind you, proxy server can bypass that.

I don't even have to do that - my works internet thinks I'm accessing it from Germany already and Germany don't show NHL games - so they work here and it's only 5 mins from my house. So I just watch the playoffs at work! Even at the weekend.

Leafs fan here but only due to Owen Nolan/Tie Domi playing for them a while back, also got to see Belak playing for Coventry in 2004 I think (lockout season).

Did get to watch Rangers v Islanders in January when over in NYC, bloody £100 each for a ticket but jees are they fast!!!

What is unblock US?

As noted I can watch al lthe blackout games at work but would rather just watch them at home if it was possible.

Just a SmartDNS service, a few quid a month. If I was watching exclusively with my laptop I'd just use Hola, but I like it most on my Xbox.

Totally depends on the GCL feeds that you could get on VLC for free via Reddit, but I'd be up for splitting the cost of a GCL subscription, however I'm not 100% sure about logging in from multiple locations at the same time.

It's felt like a long old summer break this year, last Caps pre season game tonight then finally ready for some proper hockey :).

I know pre season isn't exactly a great measure of future performance, but haven't exactly been filled with confidence yet so far, although Burakovsky is looking like he's a bit handy.

I was a believer is Kuznetsov when he finally made it over (and was lucky enough to be there at Verizon Center on his first game by chance), but wondering if he may be a bit overshadowed by Burakovsky.

Hopefully will get back over there for some games this season.

As for watching the games here, GCL and Unblock Us has done me good the last two seasons.

Wasn't a bad game at all last night, potential is there to not suck as much this season and be interesting to see what happens when some of our injured guys are back available again.

Not long to go now :)
