Yeah silly cheap now it's end of season and if you can get around the blackouts should be able to watch most of the playoff games as wel :)

Just finished last night Caps game, that's the Presidents trophy locked up :). Still not been playing great lately, as much as I like Orlov he's not made some great decisions last couple of games that have lead to turnovers and goals.

Very easy to get around the blackouts ;)

Ducks seem a bit hit and miss the last few games, still not 100% and I would be surprised if we got into the finals. I can see someone like Chicago knocking us out again.
 
Well here we go - A full day/night of NHL for me now.
Watching Wings v Rangers, then Penguins v Flyers then I'll have a break until Blues v Caps to see if we can get No.1 Seed in the West.

Was a cracking game vs Blackhawks the other night so it'll be great to go into the playoffs No.1 in the West with 2 recent wins vs the best Eastern team.

I still think Stars will beat the Preds but we have to give it a go regardless.

Hoping the Wings get in just because I used to love the Blues/Wings rivalry.
I dislike both the Bruins and the Flyers so don't care which of those get in. Would prefer Flyers over the Bruins though.

I can't believe I'm cheering on the Flyers. I was following the Pens back in 1991 on-wards so never liked the Flyers but I have an irrational dislike for the Bruins :p

It's all in the hands of the Flyers now - it's been a pretty fun game so far so it could go either way
 
Another 50 goal season for Ovi (only 2 others in history have 7 or more 50 goal seasons), Holtby ties NHL record for goalie wins in a season, bet we get knocked out in the first round :)
 
And Ducks win the Division for the 4th straight year! :D

Thanks to the Caps who decided to play their B team :p

So now the playoffs are underway who's gonna give the draft pick a go? Done mine which is below and like last year none of my predictions will come true...

I've made an OCUK league so whoever wants to give it a go can join and see who can guess the best

I'm going for some upsets.
Naturally I have to go with St Louis once again. Chicago will turn up, they will play well - but St Louis are a better team so IF they turn up too they will win. It's all about whether they do or not. History shows they won't but I'm hoping they do this time.

Stars were tough to knock out for me - I fancy them to go to the Final when I'm not thinking with my heart over my head.

Penguins are the dark horse this year. They have been playing probably the best hockey of the league for 6 weeks now so I'm picking them to continue that tren and knock the Caps out.
Panthers v Islanders is a tough call. I actually fancy Islanders to surprise some people and sneak some tough series wins.

I'm also going for the Sharks to beat their past demons an remove the Kings. I haven't seen much from the Kings this year that says they can do much - but they are also hard to write off.

Teams with a legit chance IMO:

Blues / Blackhawks / Stars / Ducks
Caps / Penguins

Just finished caps flyers, Philly sure have some classy fans :)

Hope we pummel them one last time and don't have to see them again for a few months after tomorrow night.
 
Hahaha it was quite hilarious watching the Blackhawks crying their eyes out last night because they were still losing despite having more offence, and the refs trying their best to help them out.
Crawford was doing a Quick impression and acting like a baby then went after one of the smallest Blues players for no reason - then Blackhawks come out of it with powerplay. Laughable.

I'm so happy we went to their Home and beat them both times. It's far from over but I hated how they acted last night so I'd LOVE it if we bring it back to St Louis this week and end the series 4-1 to really stick it to them.

All the Blues need is 1 more good game out of a possible 3 and it's over and done.
To go 2-1 down after a bad call in Chicago and come back to win shows how this team has evolved and why they are a very real contender this year.
And when they don't get the offence, Elliott has been a rock to keep them in it. He would typically falter in the playoffs but he's really stepped it up this year.



Caps v Flyers has been a bit of a joke to watch. Complete mismatch of quality there. But hey, despite playing the worst team in the playoffs, you have to give the Caps credit for not cracking and just coming out, playing good hockey and take the series comfortably.

Preds have given the Ducks a scare so i'm keeping an eye on that series for a fun finish. Preds are certainly better than their record suggested so they were written off by most.

Loving the playoffs - it's great to have it back on again. Lots more to come this week to see who can get their progression finalised
