Oh well, better luck next year. It's been a great season to be an Avs fan regardless, Patrick Roy has done an incredible job. McKinnon is going to be a real asset for years to come and to say this is largely the team that has spent the past few seasons propping up the league, what a journey.

I'm really surprised by some of the teams to move onto Round 2. Sharks blew it big time but credit to the Kings for turning that series around.
Bit shocked the Avs couldn't see of the Wild but I think the Wild have had a lot of injuries this season and their league position was probably a bit false - they ought to have been closer to the top 3. For a young team though the Avs could be one of the best pretty soon if everyone keeps on progressing.

Blackhawks in 6
Kings in 7
Bruins in 7
NYR in 6
Anything could happen though and I think any of the 8 teams left could make it through so it should be great to watch.
My 1 problem with the NHL though is I can't get my mates round to watch the final, unless it goes to 7 games!! lol
So, that's my hope. a 7th stanley cup final game so we can all have some beers and watch it.

Good result for Canadiens last night. If anyone in the East can beat the Bruins it's them so this will make it an interesting series

I did predict Rangers winning but hoped they wouldn't!

Montreal creating an upset. I Thought Bruins would steal it but expected if any team in the East could beat them it was Montreal. I don't think any other Eastern team could have knocked the Bruins out.
Not many would have had a Montreal v New York conference final predicted!!
Ducks v Kings game 7 should be a good game to watch. Gibson has been great for the Ducks but let in a softie last night - he did make plenty great saves though to make up for it. Good prospect for the future for sure.

Rangers through in 6, Will LA join them tonight.
Glad to see the Rangers get to the final, especially Henrik Lundqvist finally get's his chance at a cup.

That was a great game last night, onto Game 7, gonna be tough for LA to beat the Hawks on home ice in Game 7.
Hawks 13-0 in the last 2 years in games 5-6-7, definition of clutch.

Yep, last night was amazing. Probably the best series I've seen in a few years that LA Chicago series.
2 Elite goalies in the final and hopefully Henrik Lundqvist finally getting his cup.

Kings just don't know when they are beat like. They just seem to have everything going for them through the playoffs.
I'd have never predicted LAK vs NYR final as neither had particularly great seasons. They just came good when it mattered, while others folded.
Was gutted when the Blues went out in R1 but have since just enjoyed some great Hockey.
I guess after the 3-0 destruction the Sharks gave the Kings, they have been the most consistent team in the playoffs. Sharks were completely outclassing them so credit to them to get this far and to take the 1-0 lead.
Mate of mine seen LAK vs NYR in NY near the start of the season and I said it's a shame both teams are not that good this year so he didn't see a good game!!!!! Forward 7-8 months and it's the Stanley Cup Final match? WTF! lol
