NHS=Negligent Health Service

do gps even do much but sign off on things anymore... I kinda get the impression ay my GP surgery theres admin people doing everything and just asking GPs for signatures.
They do demonstrably more than any other speciality with less and less resource and numbers. The fact that cardiology are asking the GP for information about cardiology tests which will have been done in the cardiology department shows the nonsense that GPs have to deal with. They should be asking their own department for the information, and if it was a nearby cardiology department they should ask them. Everyone feels it’s easier to ask GPs for everything, which is why they are swamped with a sea of this nonsense

do you have the NHS app? I bet you can see the results on there.

but bizarrely the cardiologist department cant.

I've had blood tests and stuff and the results have always been in the NHS app before I've been to see a GP about them.

The nhs app will let you see your gp record, but the cardiology departments cant but don’t need to use that. They find it easier, often they simply don’t know how to get the information and as the buck stops with the GP they can always ask them. It’s a ludicrous waste of time.

Sorry for the confusion, the cardiologist asking for the results is from Glenfield, in Leicestershire. My local hospital is Kettering, Northamptonshire . They did put in the letter asking for the results if the GP had them but also put a note on the end to the local cardiology team to forward the results. I haven't seen a GP in 2yrs or more. Phone calls, diabetic nurses and HCA's but getting an appointment with a GP, not a chance. You normally are given an appointment in about 2 weeks of when you phone up but when I walk past the surgery every few days it's never that busy.

so whats the point in the NHS app...

in the real world a cardio department requests access to some files on the NHS app, you get a notification and accept the request.

how m uch money does the GP surgery make from the request?
