Update : just got Elixir in the post this morning. Wow, they aren’t joking when people are saying it’s reminiscent of an 80’s powerhouse fragrance - only with a modern twist. Can’t detect any previous sauvage iterations in this fragrance at all , it totally does its own thing. Really digging this ! I’ll give it a proper wear tomorrow

Anyone remember Hai Karate? lol
That, Kouros and and later, Fahrenheit are scents I remember from my youth..
I can't stand Kouros anymore and haven't tried the new reformulated Hai Karate, but Fahrenheit is still a fave.

Ok, I just ordered Perfumer's Choice No 9, it was only £12...
Will compare to my Aventus batches.
I just got it, smells very very similar to Aventus, but it’s a lot less subtle in some notes, and does not have that premium smell. Still, for £9 it’s very very close. I’ve never been a Creed guy myself so it won’t be something I wear regularly.

Just took delivery of No 9, very nice especially for the price so thanks to whoever first mentioned that (think it was mrk or mobius). The citrus notes really stand out!
Only got the 50ml (£7) as it worked out slightly cheaper per volume, but will probably grab an 83ml when that runs out....or sooner just to have it in reserve
Are they both aerosol? Prefer the normal mist spray tops but not gonna moan at that price.
My collection prior to that was: Lacoste Red, CK Be, Joop Jump and a couple of Estelle Ewen (InRed/InBlack) which seem to be no longer available. If anyone has any other cheap recommendations I'd love to hear them!

No worries ! Yeah they’re both aerosol. Not sure why, as a pump spray would be much better.
you should take a look at allbeauty, they got a lot of stuff on there for good prices. As do notino !
edit- a a fragrance is so personal, it’s difficult to reccomend things without sampling them. A good cheapy I picked up recently is Zadig & Voltaire This is Him! If you like vanilla and incense.

Powerhouse is an understatement, it lasted all evening, night and into the morning on me. I had some on the back of my hand and it survived a decent amount of hand washing too!
Expensive but I actually feel like this one is worth it.
