My Anxiety is having a juicy flare up at the moment and my sleep is being affected. Nothing worse than being up early and feeling anxious.....

    Insomnia is awful

Been awake on and off all night sleeping for a little then suddenly awake. Was up between 2 and 4. I feel really tired just cannot stay asleep. It’s my Anxiety that is doing it as I feel very Anxious when I wake up and have to calm myself down. It’s a right pain....

Did quite well tonight as I slept through to 5:30, usually I wake around 2.

Same I just tried going back to bed but could not sleep so have given up and making a cup of tea now. I get Anxious about being tired which makes it harder to sleep. Can’t win really...

Yep you worry that you wont
    Be able to sleep
Which causes you not to be
    Able to sleep catch22

Beat me I only made it to 4am
Wouldn't be so bad if was one of those
People who could get by with
Little sleep but I am not one
I will be like a zombie all day lol
Then start to pick up around 10pm
And won't be able to sleep
Again and so the cycle continues

My insomnia comes when my Anxiety flares up which then makes me more Anxious due to not sleeping. It’s a horrid circle I get so tired with the Anxiety then cannot sleep or sleep poorly.

The worst is feeling as though you could drift off when you know it's time to get up.

    Yeah, sitting listening to
The rain hoping it might prove
    Relaxing and send
Me to sleep, proving just as
Inefectual as all the rest of the stuff
    I try though

My insomnia from this pulsatile (vascular origin) tinnitus - the only thing that partly works is sleeping pills. But I get it in Antipodean time. So, I suppose it doesn't count. Am having to take naps on average 3x a day in an effort to briefly escape the irritating noise.

Tinnitus must be pretty hard to
    Cope with at least external
    Noise you have a hope
Of trying to blank it out even though
    Trying to blank it
    Doesn't usually work for me
    Even 10mg of zolpidem
And a good slug of phenargen
    Has had no effect tonight
