Nikkon Mirrorless incoming

Greebo, no-one in their right mind would think Canon are only releasing one mirrorless "ever" (lol), but I have also seen absolutely nothing to suggest they are "about" to release a new high-end pro mirrorless either.
Well it doesn't make sense otherwise. Their one body is certainly not high end.

No it is not pro level, but that doesn't mean they have a pro level camera ready to be released either. It could be a year or more before we see that as it's likely that Canon do not want to damage sales of their current high-end DSLR's and are taking a more staggered approach to their mirrorless releases.

But the point is they are almost guaranteed that they will be a high end one otherwise they can't compete with Sony Nikon and Panasonic plus makes all this high end L glass for the new mount wasted. I mean the 28-70 f2 is going to cost what, £3k? Seems out of kilt with a body which costs less than £2k

Yes of course there will be a higher end one 'eventually', that is again self-explanatory, but there is no sign that is is due for any imminent release.

Eventually all Canon and Nikon cameras will be Mirrorless, the only question is when.
Probably premature to debate too much but the signs are that Canon don't have a higher end mirrorless immanent. Nikon don;t either, but their CEO has openly spoken about the existence of a higher end model,. More so, if you look at the Z6/7 they have been purposely crippled, and I don't mean the 1 card slot. The buffers are incredibly small, this could have been made the same as the D850 without increasing the size. They designed a new battery type, but kept a small capacity.
