My son went to bed 20 mins ago so he can sleep earlier! He always gets a bit excited over games releasing, but he's buzzing about this having just got a Sonic teddy from Build a Bear this weekend. I was a SNES boy, but everyone has given Sonic some time over the years.

I'm off work, so I'll be awake at 12 no doubt, if it's available then. Otherwise it's a quick download tomorrow morning. I looked for a pre-load, but don't know why I expected that off Nintendo!
He's 7 though, and nearly always goes to bed at 7 (both our kids do). He doesn't have to be asleep for then, and usually doesn't!

Loving Sonic Mania so far! They finally got it right after so many years. Feels like Im playing on the Megadrive again. *Tear to the eye*

Some of the bits and bobs arrived yesterday. Including the Switch Pro controller, only thing I dislike about it compared to the WiiU pro controller is the battery life (my word the WiiU pro controller has amazing battery life) and the shape. I love the sitcks and the buttons though. Shoulder buttons still aren't analogue, but are a lot beter than the WiiU one. I can still use it on the PC (and even my 3DS... *hint*) while I wait for the Switch to get here in a couple weeks time.
The case I ordered off Amazon, was one by Techmatte, the exterior is pretty tough and the interior looks decent. Won't know the full conclusion until I actuall put a Switch in it. Also got the AmFilm screen protector and the Myriann mini-dock (the one with no internals).
Did anyone see the news about Japan getting fully customisable Switch pre-orders? AKA they can get a Switch with whatever colour of Joycons they want (choose out of the existing colours). A shame we don't get that over here. I hope it means that Red Joycon pairs will be back in stock and potentially come over here so I don't have import to get a pair.
Anyone pre-order Mario Odyssey from Amazon yet? What's the discount like with Prime, cos I might pre-order there.

I did, it's £40 inc delivery of course with Prime. This includes a £2 saving (Usually £42).
I too have Mario on pre-order - it looks like an insta-buy for me. My GF is even looking forward to giving it a try, which means I might be able to get her off it by christmas if I'm lucky! (It was a struggle to get any time on Zelda thanks to her pinching it)

Had a quick go on mania, it nails it imo. Feels identical but refined . Playing the same 3d special stage that I did on Megadrive last Sunday, but at like 60fps felt really odd in a good way!
